During the 2008 election season, Barack Obama ran on a platform of "Hope and Change". He stirred emotions all across our country with this simple and undefined phrase. Even back in 2007 Mr. Obama was pushing his message of hope and change as he fine-tuned his campaign rhetoric.

In a video message released to his supporters by Mr. Obama's campaign staff in late 2007 he stated: "Hope and change haven't just been campaign slogans for me; they've been the causes of my life. From the time that I moved to Chicago to become a community organizer - working as a civil rights attorney to make sure that everybody's vote counted."

Perhaps President Obama was referring to his work for the group ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now).

After all, he got his start as a community organizer in 1992 as the head of a voter registration effort for one of Acorn's partner organizations known as Project Vote. (the very same Acorn that Mr. Obama and Democrats in Congress are working feverishly to redirect BILLIONS of dollars of our hard earned money to)

ACORN, an organization that: - is under investigation in at least 14 states - has been charged with voter fraud in Nevada for submitting thousands of fraudulent voter registration forms in 2008 - has been charged with submitting at least 1,500 fraudulent voter registrations in Philadelphia - has been fined in the state of Washington after several employees were convicted of voter registration fraud in 2007 - has actually admitted to over 400,000 fraudulent voter registrations in the 2008 election cycle

But I digress. The redistribution of your wealth to corrupt organizations such as Acorn is but a drop in the pork barrel.

The most harmful and possibly irreversible damage to your financial future is being accomplished thru various so called stimulus bills; the mounting MANY-TRILLION dollar national debt; and the soon to be more than 2 TRILLION dollar budget deficit that this administration and power hungry Democrat leaders in Congress are gleefully tying around the necks of us and our children as they prepare the economic cement shoes for our feet.

Those of you who voted for "Change" will most certainly get it, along with those of us non-Obama voters being dragged down with you.

Just reach in your pockets sometime next year and rattle that loose change; because it may be all you have left. But don't be too surprised if you don't hear even that pitifully reassuring sound; Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is surely working on a plan to get that too.
