A sound golf fitness program works specific muscle groups that optimize your motor skills and fine muscle movements for a more efficient, powerful speedier golf swing. There are over 22 main muscles utilized to perform the correct athletic golf swing required for distance, ball strike and consistency.

After all, an increase of club head speed through impact can yield vast improvement on total yardage carry on every golf shot throughout the bag. On average an increase of 1 mph of clubhead speed will lead to an extra 2-3 yards of distance. Due to the physiques leverage points, an increase of hip speed is multilplied by 25. Therefore we focus on developing an agille golf fitness training program and we will hit the ball further.

Increased agility means you can increase the range of your golf swing width, and torque between the torso and the lower body thus increasing the opportunity to shift momentum to your club head for a swift downswing. Increased agility will speed up the all important hip rotation and also allows you to apply your wrists firmly and hold the correct position at the critical moment for maximum speed.

Increased agility allows your body to go through the full range of motion, from turning your shoulders on your backswing to flowing through to a nice balanced finish position hopefully admiring the pure shot it followed. your body so your navel is pointed at your target on your follow through.

This, in effect, turns your entire body into a motor that combines the power and speed you need to propel the golf ball over greater distances. It also lends the balance and coordination necessary to hit your golf ball with accuracy. Thus, increased speed and agility enhanced by a sound golf fitness program translates into greater speed and power, where you need it most through the kinetic chain, which ultimately mean a more accurate, better golf game.

Given that the average golf handicap in the United States is 15 for men and 23 for women, that means the average man golfer swings his club an average of 87 times per 18 holes and the average woman swings her club an average of 95 times per 18 holes. Add to that the number of practice swings, times bent over to retrieve a ball, and all the walking you can do on a par 72 course, and you have a lot of repetitive movement. It is not a walk in the park for the body I assure you.

The increased speed and agility enhanced by a sound golf fitness program will not only enhance the efficiency of your swing, it will prepare your body for the rigors of hundreds of repetitive movements associated with a single round of golf.

Perform Golf Training to get the golf game and physique you have always wanted.
