No matter how bad the situation was before, breaking up is a decision that's not usually taken gently by guys. Since men are usually the last ones to end it, most attempts to make amends will be met with resistance on his part. The good news for the ladies is that getting back together with an ex isn't as difficult as it's made out to be. Here are a few tips on how to win over a guy.
Take Your Time
After just going through a break-up, most guys don't want to be rushed straight back into another relationship. As such, chasing after him and begging him to come back too soon is not how to win over a guy. Starting slowly and working your way towards the final goal of getting him back gives him the time he needs to work through his feelings and adjust to your renewed presence in his life.
Be Willing To Change Your Approach
It'll be impossible for you to win your ex back while using the same techniques as before. That being said, he may give the relationship a second chance if you can show him that you're willing to take his needs into account. If in the past you've tended to cut him off or make decisions without consulting him, going back to those habits will remind him of all the reasons why he chose to be single. While nobody should have to change who they are to suit a man, it may be necessary to change the way you interact with him.
Be Realistic
Unfortunately, getting back together with your ex isn't going to happen overnight. Since he is also dealing with his own feelings, it's a given that some days will be better than others as you sort out how to win over a guy. Break-ups usually happen as a result of continued mistakes on the part of both parties. It takes time to evaluate where things went wrong and it's never easy to admit your faults and move past them. While getting your ex back is definitely possible, you don't want to go into it with unrealistic expectations.
Don't Give Up
It might sound contradictory after that last point, but the other thing to do when figuring out how to win over a guy is to persevere. As has been mentioned previously, it takes a while to patch things up after a break-up. Even after he agrees to come back however, changes will still be needed unless you want to end up in the same place as before. Going from broken up to a stable relationship is a process. Consequently, it's important to stay optimistic and determined no matter what's happening on a particular day.
In a nutshell, getting your ex back is feasible as long as you're patient, realistic, persistent, and willing to adjust. These simple adjustments will convince him that he's better off with you. By applying these four pieces of advice to your plan, the logistics of figuring out how to win over a guy will sort themselves out.
