You have tried to squeeze into one pair of tight jeans too many and you have realized that the time has come - you need to get rid of those love handles.However, contrary to what many different weight loss programs suggest, it is not possible to spot reduce fat from one particular part of the body. You can have the best shape abdominal muscles in the world but no one is going to see them if they are covered in a layer of body fat.
You need to understand from reading this that you won't be able to get the look of rock hard abs by using the latest advertised abdominal machine each day if the muscles are hidden by a layer of fat. Sure you will be able to add support to the whole of your body by strengthening the muscles but you need to reduce fat to get in shape no matter what else you do.
Training will help to burn the fat as will diet, and it is by applying dietary changes to your eating habits that you will have the most influence on your body shape. That being said you need to find a diet plan that starts stripping fat from your body from day one. Not only that but one that is easy to follow, flexible and that will keep your metabolism and thus your fat burning ability high.
