Did you know that interior designers and interior decorators are two different professionals? Majority of individuals believed that both are two similar individuals who play a vital role in beautifying your real estate properties and homes for sale. They are wrong because both are different from each other and they have different job descriptions and job responsibilities.

Before deciding to hire one, be sure to be familiar with their difference so you will know who to hire for your special needs. How can you identify who to hire if you do not know the difference between the two? For you to improve and beautify your homes, you need to know the ins and outs of their tasks. You do not want to sacrifice and risk the aesthetics and functionality of your home, right? If so, read the article below to gain an overview of their functions and differences.

Job description Interior designer:

Interior designers are the ones responsible for the entire project. They design, plan and furnish quality interiors to commercial, residential and industrial real estate properties according to the specifics required by property owners or contractors. They confer with their client to know their architectural preferences, budget, quality of home furnishings, space functionality and other factors. They give advises to clients on what color schemes, layout, designs and furnishings are needed to achieve the look and functionality they want. They provide drawings, illustrations and paste ups for clients to see and for their approval.

Apart from real estate properties, they can also design interiors for boats, airplanes, buses and boats.

Job description of Interior decorator:

Interior decorators are the ones responsible for the cosmetic aspect of homes like paint, floor tiles, accessories and many more. They are the ones who create beautiful and functional spaces in homes, offices, shops, business centers and other commercial facilities. They worked directly with clients by suggesting to them what are the right layouts, color schemes, furniture fixtures and accessories to buy to transform a space into something more useful and beautiful. They are the ones who choose color combinations of paints, mattress, curtains and seat cushion to ensure they rightfully complement the theme of the house. They will also supervise and organize furnishings, arrangement and installations of accessories and appliances.

Be careful in hiring one because there are some interior decorators and interior designers who ask for high professional fees and who take advantage of your ignorance on these ideas. Ask referrals from friends, colleagues, relatives and contractors. It is better to hire someone who is referred by a trusted friend than to recruit fresh faces because they already know their credibility and performance. Be sure to review and evaluate their track record and reputation if your hire interior decorators and interior designers. Be sure to ask for project estimate and proposals before starting the project.

Do not risk the beauty, functionality and aesthetics of your real estate property and homes for sale by hiring inefficient and inexperienced interior decorators and interior designers.
