Are you craving a deep sleep? Are you always tired and exhausted? A recent study from Harvard The indoor temperature and humidity are important factors in order to get a good night sleep so that we feel energized during the day. Present lifestyles prevent us from setting up a regular sleeping pattern - only a few know that a good night sleep is necessary to live a healthy life.

A study entitled "Temperature and Humidity as Factors Affecting Sleep and Wakefulness" made by Svorad, D.; Wellnerová, J. showed how sleep is influenced by humidity and temperature. The study was conducted by the scientists in affiliation with Institute of Physiology of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences.

Rats were used in the experiment because of the rare chances of doing it with human. Male rats approximately 4 months of age were employed in the study. They arrived at a conclusion that the sleep of an animal subjected to different warm and humid air for 24 hours are shorter and becomes shorter as the humidity and temperature are raised. The temperature used was 21, 27, and 33˚C and air humidity was 50, 70 and 90% during sleep and wakefulness.

Now there is a relevance of the outcome from the experiment to human when the temperature and humidity level are high. The results affected animal's sleep because warm temperature and high humidity are both very uncomfortable for animals, how much more with people? In this research it was stated that the ideal indoor temperature is 72˚F (22˚C) and relative humidity must not exceed 50% especially in winter.

Mist fountains reduce sleeping problems. Anyone can have difficulties getting to sleep or may have disturbances during sleep because of various reasons. Aside from temperature issues, babies and small children need attention, body pains and discomforts, worries and stress are only some of them that cause sleeping problems.

With a mist fountain in the bedroom, babies and adults alike can have a better sleep at night. Once you experience the presence of a mist fountain, you discover its soothing effect that provides relaxation you need the most.
