There are two types of oil warmers as far as power or heat source is concerned and here they are:

1. Electric Oil Warmer: This type uses electricity with an input rate of 110/220 V. and a power of 35/50 W.

A new interesting oil warmer made from China is called USB Fragrance Oil Burner. Since computers use power from electricity you may classify this as electric type though you can consider it as an electronic device.

2. Tea Light Oil Warmers: This is the type that makes use of tea light candles as heaters and are usually packed with natural tea light candles, a bottle of scented oil and a potpourri.

Generally, oil warmers are easy to use. The common steps are: Add a few drops of essential oil (5-10 drops) on the bowl or container on top. Then you can adjust according to your need and the size of the room. Some people want to add some water and some don't. If you experiment on both, you may come up with a decision.

Set the it on a place where it can disperse the aroma freely into the air whether in the office or in your home.

Use a lighted tea light candle under the bowl to heat the oil. You only need to plug-in the electric type. Most electric warmers are built with dimmers to allow you to adjust the light intensity.
