Many individuals may be having spider veins but they may not know anything about them therefore they can choose to ignore them until it is very late. Having spider veins is not fun but a disease as it can be a very serious health condition that can cost you a lot.

What are spider veins? Spider veins are also referred to as telangiectasias. These veins appear in small blue or at times red veins that can be seen under your skin. They look like spider’s web or they can appear like trees. Normally, they are found in a small area on your leg or any other part of your body.

Here are the main causes of spider veins 1) According to the health professionals, spider veins can be caused by venous insufficiency in that, their valves grow weak and in turn, they cannot perform their duties and allows for the blood leakage. This forces the blood to flow to a reverse direction and begin to settle inside your veins.

2) Another thing that can cause spider veins is the hormonal changes due to pregnancy, puberty, menstrual cycle, menopause and medications such as birth control drugs.

3) Prolonged exposure to sunlight can be another cause of spider veins especially in people who have fair skin while to other individuals it can be genetic or hereditary.

Without considering the cause of this problem many individuals suffer from it though it does not subside. Spider veins do not cause discomfort in most cases and it is not necessary o treat them medically though when you would wish to improve your facial appearance or appearance of any other part of the body that has been affected by the spider veins, there are several treatment methods that you can go for.

One of the best and the most common treatment method is sclerotherapy, which is done by a plastic surgeon, and it does not require anesthesia. Here, a solution is injected into the patient’s veins to make them swell and stick them together. This is done to every single inch of the spider veins and will make them to fade and disappear completely. This method is convenient but its disadvantage is that it can force you to do it multiple times. Another method that you can go for is laser therapy where an intense light is shot in the vein and reduces it to nothing. Other methods include laser surgeries and natural methods.
