Valentines Day Gift Ideas for Uniform Dating

Alright, so you don't have a Valentines Day gift.

The reasons? Let's see. You got too busy with military life, with work, or with training? Or if you are the one who has a uniformed single as the beau, then maybe you hesitated too much on what to give? You waited too long and now you're panicking? You wavered too much on one gift and now it's too late to buy/make it? Or gosh darn it, life just stood in the way? Well, whatever reasons you may have, that doesn't change the fact that you don't have a Valentines Day gift for your special someone and you haven't prepared for that special day.

Okay, so first things first. Calm down. It's not the end of the world. Though if you don't think of a romantic and special gift, then it would be the end for you. Or if you're lucky then you would just end up sleeping next to the dog in his dog house; or if you're really, really lucky, then just on the sofa.

I'm just kidding.

But seriously, on this very special day for all couples in the entire world, it just would not do if you don't have a special gift for your special someone. And no, running to the mall and buying the first box of chocolates you see doesn't count as a special gift. Assuming that there's even a smidgen of chocolate left in malls on that day, that is.

So for that special Valentines Day gift, we prepared some simple and easy-to-do, yet romantic, and more importantly, personalized, ideas just for you, the panicking beau:

1. Write a love letter.

Sound too cheesy? Actually, no. People appreciate written words, though actions and spoken ones are great too. But there's something special in written endearments in the fact that they can be kept, and our special someone can re-read them over and over again. Write about what you love in them. Try to reminisce about when you first met, or when you first had your date. Write about some of the most special and memorable times of your lives as a couple.

And lastly, write about how much you appreciate and love them. This may seem a cheap and way too easy gift, but I assure you, your loved one would thank you for it. Besides, remember when your loved one was away? Your letters are the sustenance that kept them together!

2. Put together a special meal.

Cook or order a meal with a Valentines theme. No scrimped, military meals for you both this day! Go for a theme, like red-colored food. YOU may also try heart-shaped foods. There are several out in the market, like a heart-shaped angel food cake, or a fruit and cheese salad, a heart-shaped cheesecake, or a red velvet cake. Not only is this special, but it's romantic too.

3. Make personalized coupons.

You know those grocery or fast-food coupons that have "Free softdrinks when you buy so-and-so"? Well, make one for your special someone! Like "Free hugs and kisses every time you tease me," or "Free massages for one week every time you come home from work," or maybe "Remote control dominion for the night." Those coupons are personal, and what's more, it also adds fun into your lives as a couple. You never know when they would use those free coupons. It may be the exciting twist you are looking for.

These are just tips. You may modify or add to them, according to your taste and to the personality of your special someone. Have fun and be creative! What's important is that you remember WHY you are giving them these gifts: to show your appreciation and love, during this special Valentines Day, and throughout the whole year too.
