Get a niche keyword finder software tool and put them together with the ten essential tips to marketing, then you'd start generating all the traffic you could possibly dream of!

Here are some tips to do just to increase traffic to your site:

1. Add a forum to your site.

Adding a forum has a lot of advantages and disadvantages.

For one thing, a popular forum can attract a huge number of repeat visitors into your site, and also enhances your credibility as an expert.

However, a forum would mean a great deal of work for you. You would also need to hire moderators for it that can monitor the forum constantly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They should remove spam and monitor posts and monitor member actions.

Now, the most effective and efficient way to launch a forum is not by setting it up from scratch, but by adding one to an already popular website.

2. Make brandable reports.

Write a report that invites other affiliates in your niche to put their affiliate links into it, and then publish it for free. A report is like a free e-book. By inviting the other affiliates to add links into your report, you are also getting the possibility that their subscribers and readers would take a look at your website too.

3. Submit your free e-books to e-book directories.

Go to a search engine, and key in "ebook directory" or "ebook directories" and then list your free ebook ion as many directories as possible. The more sites that know about your ebook, the better.

4. Offer your services to be a columnist.

Find other sites within your niche that would be happy to have you as their columnist. Offer your services, and write witty, funny, and lively product reviews, commentaries, or any other topic that may be relevant to the site. Ask the site owner if you can do some promotion towards the end, like maybe adding a link to your site. However, do not over-promote.

5. Offer to be a moderator to a section of another forum.

If you want to find out how a forum works, find an active forum within your niche group, and then offer your services as a moderator for one section. A fast-growing forum would appreciate the help in moderating, and in return, you get free publicity for your site.

6. Make humor work for you.

Put up a fun, zany stuff into your site, and then ask someone, an affiliate or a friend, to link it to BoingBoing.net, to get more publicity to the site. Make sure though that your funny stuff is still related to the niche that you are promoting. Remember that you are looking for targeted traffic, and not just any traffic. Cory Doctorow of BoingBoing.net says that the blog gets aroung 1.7 million visitors a day! So even a portion of that traffic is already well for you.

7. Get people to bookmark your blog.

Make use of bookmarking to get people to spread news about your site. Look around some sites, and you would notice that some of them have statements like "Did you like this article? Digg it!" or perhaps "Bookmark this delicious article at Del.icio.us"

Providing these kinds of links would make it easier for readers to spread the work about your article.

Some blog owners use the popular Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr. Those are the small FB, Twit, or T buttons usually found near the title of the article, or maybe near the button. Once the readers like what they read, they can click on the button, and then the link to the article and to your site, would appear as Tweets, Facebook Status Messages, or Tumblr statuses.

8. Invite readers to tag your articles.

The internet community is fast learning about tagging and using them to invite traffic into the site. There are two types of tags that matter: the ones you place on your blog and the ones you place on social bookmarking sites.

Now, a tagging service like Technorati, allows people who subscribe to a certain tag, to be notified once a new article with that tag has come out. So make sure that your tags are relevant, diverse, and useful.

9. Upload and tag your photos.

If you want to take part of Technorati's tag pages, you would need to upoad your photos and tag them by joining Flickr and Buzznet. These two are huge, online photo sharing communities.

According to Technorati, all you need to do is to "Just tag them and set them to be public and they'll appear on Technorati Tag pages."

Yahoo! and Google have intensive search for images. If you tag your photos right, your site may get traffic from image searches too.

10. Use great gimmicks.

If you see something odd on a website, chances are, you will tell people about it, right? Use this to your advantage and set up gimmicks, that can catch the attention of your site visitors. You can also alert some newsletter publishers or blog owners about your gimmick, and suggest that they mention it in their newsletter or blogs.
