Successful entrepreneurs are bold. They will try practically anything to build a successful business. They are willing to appear foolish if that will propel them to reaching their goal. Their tenacious vision reflects minimal concern about other people's opinions.

That position is diametrically opposed to the cultural values. Everything around us almost exclusively supports the status quo. Don't attempt anything different. Don't stand out. Be safe. But does that stance benefit your goal especially in the current economic reality?

Think of successful entrepreneurs such as Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki and Oprah Winfrey. Their lives reflect personally bold actions.

Donald Trump was close to bankruptcy. Many people wrote him off. But he was adamant about his goal, defied the odds and took resolute action to rectify his situation.

Because of her firm conviction, Oprah Winfrey, when challenged by the mega cattle industry successfully stood up to her opponents.

So how do you break out of the mold? How do you defy the pattern of following the herd? What happens when you're convinced that fulfilling your destiny requires unflinching boldness? What do you do?

According to John Maxwell, the logical step is "the clarity question." Decide what you want - be specific. Determine your priorities. Take some quiet time and visualize the rewards of success. "You must see it to seize it".

Pray, ask God to reveal your destiny. Write out your vision. How will you feel when you achieve your goal? In what way will your family be affected? Verbalize the answers.

Once you clarify your goal, you are ready for the next step "the pathway." The key to your success lies in strategic planning.

Ask yourself, what bold action you could take this week to get you closer to your goal. If you aren't sure, think of an entrepreneur that you admire, or a mentor. Ask yourself what they would do if they were in your situation.

Once you have a list of a few actions to take for the week, focus on one bold task for today. What bold action could you do today, that would take you closer to your goal?

Write it down and tell one person the action you have committed to taking. It's especially important to tell someone so you are accountable for your actions.

Successful entrepreneurs personify boldness. According to Goethe, "Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." Be bold - Let your dreams shape your future!
