Affiliate Marketing Tips : Guide to Getting More Facebook Page Likes

Facebook and Twitter have taken the affiliate marketing world by storm. It's so easy to create a page and use that internet 'real estate' to your advantage. I'm going to share with you now how to maximise this marketing opportunity and build your 'likes' count.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of bribery To secure a new visitor, welcome them to your page with a custom tab that offers them a freebie in exchange for a click of their mouse on the 'Like' button. It's easy to set up using "Static HTML Application". For the gift, you can offer them a discount, a free ebook or access to a free video. Just do a Google search and you can find out more about how to do it and what to offer.

Use an encouraging image.
Don't waste the prime affiliate marketing space available on your profile page by adding the logo from your website or your business. You should be using the page as a call to action. After all, they can see the logo on any of the other places that you can use for it inside your Facebook business page. Use the space to guide them to a video, or even to link directly to your offer. If you use a bit.ly link then you can determine how successful your message is and can change it around if you aren't getting the response that you want.

Add a creative photo strip.
Use this space to add random pics, be a bit more creative. You can get some ideas by looking around the web, but the GMC Facebook page does a good job! They haven't used the space for a call to action, but they have added images that look very attractive and tempting. With a bit of creativity you can add a call to action to your strip and get some very good results from it. You need to really guide people to go to your affiliate marketing product pages.

Make your page worth linking to.
That means provide some entertainment or at least some very cool info. Offer a few freebies, post some highly interesting stuff. Interact with your connections and even get a Fan of the Week regular item on the go. You can also start conversations around national events and get some action underway. This is really what will make a difference to the number of likes and fans that you have - so put in some effort and reap the rewards.

Be considerate.
If somebody takes the time to add a comment to your page - then the least that you can do for them in return is to actually respond. I see many pages where people just don't say anything in response, and it really does come across as a bit rude and not as the social behaviour that the social sites were set up for. Share your opinion, add useful info and guide your people - that's what friends do and it's what social networking is all about.

Add your URL to the info area.
In fact, add as much as you can to the info area. You need to use the space to it's max and that means giving as much info as possible so that people can see what you are all about. I usually add the URL to the first line of the info area right underneath the profile pic, as it can be seen clearly that way.
