Cardiff in South Wales has seen price fluctuations with its property market over the last two years, so it's not surprising that buyers who are looking for new houses in Wales are treading cautiously.
Cardiff has actually seen an increase in house prices of around 3.6% with an increase in buy-to-let properties being snapped up and investment buyers taking the opportunity of buying properties to rent out, especially to students attending the Cardiff University. If you are looking for new flats in Wales, Cardiff is a great place to buy a flat because you will be close to all the fun and action that Cardiff City has got to offer. There are many smart one and two bedroom apartments available, some are located between the city centre and the Bay area, but still in close proximity to Cardiff's centre. They have modern and appealing designs, with all the modern conveniences of the latest appliances and fittings that are all included in the price. Being located close to Cardiff is ideal if you like the buzz and excitement, and it's also close to a wealth of shopping outlets as well as leisure amenities. Cardiff also offers an amazing social and night life if you want to hit the town, and living close by means that it's easy to get home and won't cost a fortune in a taxi. Cardiff Bay has also seen some innovative new developments with a whole array of new leisure and entertainment spots that have also been developed along the water front. New cinemas, bars and restaurants are thriving around the Bay, and are proving a great attraction alternative to Cardiff City Centre. There is also a brand new ice-rink that has been built as well as an Olympic-size swimming pool. All of these new buildings and developments show and demonstrate that Wales is really on the map when it comes to an excellent location to live, along with new regeneration for community and leisure facilities.
Many major retailers have also sprung up around the new houses in Wales, providing enviable shopping facilities. It is no wonder that Cardiff has seen an increase in property prices with the breadth and scope of new developments that have sprung up in and around the city.
However, Cardiff isn't the only location that has seen new developments of new houses in Wales. If you prefer to live outside of Cardiff, there are many other regions to choose from and it is worth doing your research on house properties in other Welsh regions because prices have fluctuated over the past two years, and in some areas Welsh property prices may have decreased, in contrast to what has happened to property values' increase seen in Cardiff.
There are plenty of new houses in Wales for sale to consider including Glamorgan, Llanelli, Swansea and Newport. In Llanelli, more traditional type housing has been built. The New Heritage Collection in Llanelli is a collection of new homes built using traditional styles and designs including gables, bay windows and roof and door canopies, all craftsman built quality. The traditional exterior styles of these houses are combined with the latest kitchen and bathroom and interior designs so that purchasers can enjoy the traditional with the new.
