Around a 190 km from London, which is approximately a two hour car journey, Bristol offers a great place to live, not too far from the capital city and yet avoiding very expensive housing costs. Here are some of the popular areas to consider when looking for a new home in Bristol.

Bradley Stoke

Though not amongst the new developments in Bristol, Bradley Stoke still has a number of areas that are being developed and where it is possible to find new homes. The area covers 1000 acres, with around 650 allocated for housing. Over the past 20 years around 9000 new homes - flats and houses - have already been built and facilities such as schools, shopping areas and leisure facilities well established. Meridian

Meridian is amongst the affordable new developments in Bristol. There are several one, two and three bedroom house and apartment developments, so you are sure to find something to suit your needs. Several developments in this area provide stunning views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. There are shopping centres nearby, such as Cabot Circus and Broadmead Shopping Centre. The M5 can be reached easily within 10 minutes by car, while bus connections are available to the Marlborough Street bus station, from where there are many onward connections to various parts in England. Within easy reach to the cities of Bristol and Bath, Elswick Park is another option if you are looking buy a new home in Bristol. With easy access to junior, primary and secondary education within the area and access to world-class university education options in nearby Bath and Bristol, this is an excellent option for those with young families who want to settle in a good area surrounded by great amenities and facilites for families. At one of the new developments in Bristol, there is convenient access to a number of healthcare facilities including hospitals, dentists, infirmaries and surgeries.
