Article marketing is a great way to promote a website. But many internet marketers don't like to write articles or they don't have enough time to write their own content. Many of them outsource their article writing on sites like Guru, Rentacoder or Elance, but results often do not meet their expectations. Here are three tips for successfully outsourcing article writing to freelancers.

1. Evaluate Freelance Writers
First, it is important to do an evaluation of several writers prior to giving them a project. Ask several writers to give you sample projects to make a first selection. Then, post a small project, consisting for example of two articles. This will enable you to test the market and target the right budget according to the quality you are expecting. You'll want to evaluate writers based on sample projects, compare the quality of the article they send you with the quality of these sample projects, and pick the best quality possible for a given price. If you are expecting a high quality article, you should be ready to pay the price of a good article writer, while if quality doesn't matter so much, you can accept someone offering you a lower price.

2. Write Your Project in Detail
Then, another important tip is to write your project in detail. Many marketers post a project specifying only the article length and their main keyword. But you should be really precise if you want the article writer to be able to deliver an article that meets your expectations. Tell your writer which structure you want for your article, how many paragraphs, how many points per paragraph. Tell your writer which tone you want for your article, which keywords you want to use in the title and in the body, and you're your writer a clear deadline. All these aspects should be defined early in the process if you want to avoid misunderstandings and most importantly if you want to avoid having to rewrite everything yourself.

3. Review the Article
Eventually, make sure you review the article received and require changes if necessary. If you think that the article does not meet your criteria and has a lower quality than the samples provided, ask your writer to review the work. If you gave your writer specific instructions as to how to write the article, and you see there is a discrepancy, ask your writer to make the appropriate changes. It is important to review the article until you are happy with its quality, as this article will promote your brand or your website. Moreover, if you want to establish a long-term relationship with a writer, it is important to show that you want a certain quality level and that you will reward the writer with more projects if he or she meets your needs.

If you evaluate writers, write your project in detail, and review the work, you'll have good chances of having both quality articles and a cost-efficient outsourcing process for your articles.
