Video marketing is a big thing online. It is underused by many marketers and very profitable for those that do use it.The few marketers that use it are earning big profits from it.Whilst the majority aren't using it, the few who are earn well from it.Most marketers aren't using it to its full potential and so are potentially losing money.

Videos can very easily go viral and you will find yourself getting a lot of traffic from them. Plus, the search engines love video because it is very popular at presently. Most searches now provide at least a handful of videos in the top five results.

Creating a video isn't really tricky. You can create a live action video using your mobile phone or digital camera, or if you live in the dark ages, a webcam.

With software such as Camtasia you can capture the screen in order to demonstrate a website. These types of video are very effective as people can see what they are buying or what they need to do.

You can easily create promotional videos with Windows Movie Maker, which comes with most Windows XP and above computers or with a website such as Jing or Animoto. You can rapidly create some fantastic videos to use as adverts.

Your video must be something people will want to watch. You want your viewers to see your video and be entranced and want to get additional information.

You must know your keywords prior to submitting your video. This requires some keyword research. The Google External Keyword Tool will tell you everything you need to know, or you can use your own favorite keyword research.

You may manually submit your video to various video directories, but this takes a lot of time. You could outsource the process, which will get pricey, or you could use a tool to do it. The Tubemogul website provides a free alternative.

This allows you to submit your video articles to some video directories automatically. Once you have produced some videos and are established on their site you are able to add additional video directories.

Some of your videos will be turned down, but those that are accepted will be distributed all across the Internet. They will be picked up by websites and other directories that feed off these main sites, giving you more of an audience.

A Goolge Alert will allow you to watch just how many sites play your video. You will get traffic from your URL being in the description and the video itself.

Video marketing is proving itself to be a very effective technique of generating traffic to your website. It is still underused and a method that you can start to use to further boost your sites in the search engines.
