If you are like most of us, there are probably many, many people in your everyday world. They include your friends, members of your family, your neighbors, and possibly people you know at school or at work, also. There are also people who cross your path briefly, some only one time. If you think about it, you will see that your part of the world is quite well populated.
If you are like most of us, you probably have different opinions or thoughts about all of these people. There may even be some whom you would prefer to not have in your life at all, if you had any choice about it. You may think that they are not as nice, or not as good, as the people you care about the most. On the other hand, the people whom you favor may cause you to have unnecessary envy or resentment over what you wish you had for yourself.
You may not be familiar with the concept of positivity, but it is a concept which you are sure to like when you learn about it, and will surely appreciate when you begin to put it into daily practice. Positivity is a simple little concept that will enrich your life and your relationships with other people. They will be happier, and so will you.
Every single person in this world is unique. This is the way that they were meant to be. Each person has many strengths and positive qualities, as well as weaknesses and characteristics which are negative. In addition to each person being unique, no person is perfect. The key to harmonious, fulfilling relationships is to choose to see the best in everyone.
You may know someone who always has something negative to say about others. He or she may be what the older generation would call a fault-finder. Not only does a person like this make other people unhappy, he is not usually very happy himself. He would do well to learn about positivity, for he would see a wonderful transformation in the people around him as well as in himself.
When you are developing a character of excellence, make sure that you are not a fault-finder. Instead, strive for acceptance of other people exactly as they are. You will be pleasantly surprised with how good this makes them and you feel.
Even the most difficult people have good qualities. If there is someone whom you are not particularly fond of, or whom you do not get along with, make a point of seeking out his good qualities. There is some special something about this person that makes him a valuable part of the world, and also makes him a person whom you would want to know. When you focus on his good qualities, rather than on his negative points, you are showing that you are an individual who respects and accepts your fellow human beings as they are. This is a trait which will serve you well throughout life, and will make you a person whom others will want to know.
