Spring is almost here and so is the need to complete all those DIY tasks that were placed on hold since…forever. Maybe your home is crying out for an upgrade but seeing that you're just about finished paying for Christmas 2006, you don't really want to see your credit card balance rise in line with the temperatures.

So what do you do? Well you can consider applying for a branded DIY credit card like the Home Depot Credit Card.

Yet another card powered by Citibank, the Home Depot Credit Card offers you the following benefits:

No annual fee: This is my first and favorite card feature. It was never clear why companies made you pay this unnecessary fee. If you are helping their business by using your card, why pay for the pleasure?

No payments or interest for 6 months if you spend over $299: Think the spend limit is too high? Have you been to Home Depot lately? You can purchase a wide variety of items within the $299 range; I think it will surprise you how far your $299 will go.

Deferred payments promotions: Again, the threshold spend is $299, and you have the chance to qualify for no payment or no interest options plus other in store promotions.

Reduced APR: You'll love this one. Usually you'll want to purchase the best items for your home, and pretty often the best things aren't cheap. Well if you spend $2000 or more at Home Depot your APR would be reduced form 21% to 15.48%. Cool isn't it.

The other features are pretty standard for credit cards in the industry and they are:

• $0 liability on unauthorized purchases
• Online account management
• Your card is accepted at all Home Depot Stores.

If you prefer collecting points but don't want to be limited to shopping at Home Depot only, then there is a Home Depot Rewards credit card with the following benefits:

• Earn 2,500 bonus points with your first purchase
• Earn two points for every dollar spent at The Home Depot
• Earn one point for every dollar spent everywhere else
• Redeem points for a wide range of merchandise
• Special promotions.

Writing this article reminds me of how many little things I (or rather my husband) need to do around the house. If you are like me, you used winter as an excuse to put it off a bit longer, but now that my excuse has thawed out, it's time to get the gloves and overalls out.

Think of how lovely every thing will look once summer is here. Go on, visit the Home Depot Credit Card site and apply for your card today.

If for some reason you decide to check out other options, you can see other credit card offers on the main website.

Which ever option you choose, enjoy your DIY.
