Internet marketing affiliate program is one of the most robust models to make money online at home. Based on the definition appears in the most respected ClickBank marketing guides, it involves the process of promoting others products in exchange of a certain commission when you achieve a sale.

Few days ago, during leaving comments on various forums, which are dedicated to learn affiliate marketing, I was faced with the following questions:

- How to be an affiliate seller?
- How to round good affiliates?
- What is the proper affiliate marketing rule interpretation?
- How to own one of the reasonable affiliate websites?

Honestly, the idea is not to work too much but to work properly and avoid the costly mistakes that lead to a hard failure. Some of these mistakes can be found in any respected and well known ClickBank marketing guide but not all of them.

This is because there are some mistakes that you learn during working and not just by reading a marketing guide.

In this article, I devoted time and effort to summarize here 5 serious mistakes that I personally did and unfortunately did not lead to a brilliant success. So, to achieve the success you deserve, you should avoid doing the following 5 deadly mistakes.

Mistake (1): Overloading your website with Google adsense.

Though it is an important and common mistake, most of the ClickBank marketing guides mention nothing about this. As a matter of fact, 90% of the beginners in the field on selling products online think it is a wise idea to insert Google adsense in the sales letter.

They hope that, in case the visitors are not interested in their products, they will click on the ads and make them money. This is not true because:

- A sales letter that is full of ads does not look professional.
- These ads will disturb the attention of your visitors.

A wise idea that works fine for me is to be deterministic and design a unique goal for your website. Decide from the beginning, if this website is an affiliate website or a website for adsense.

Mistake (2): Linking to the merchant's website from your articles.

This is another important point, which is overlooked by many ClickBank marketing guides. I will clarify this point by a short story, which I personally experienced.

I used to promote a well known product that has something to do with Google adsense program and I used to achieve approximately one sale per day, which is absolutely fine. I used to insert an embedded link in the author box at the end of each article I wrote.

Suddenly, without any alert from the merchant, he took his website down and redirected the old link to another destination. I was not that happy with his new sales letter as well as the new product.

However, I was in a situation that I had no chance to change the links in the articles I wrote since it is not possible to do so.

Therefore, a better idea is to promote a webpage on your website where you describe the product you promote and from there you may link to the merchant's website. This has 2 great benefits:

- You prepare your visitor to buy through your own words.
- You have full control over the products you promote and you can edit your landing page as you wish.

Mistake (3): Having a poor looking website

Most of the beginners think that content is the king, which is mentioned in almost every ClickBank marketing guide. This is only half of the truth. A poor looking website will not represent you in the way it should be. Devote reasonable time and energy to make your website looks like a nice and professional looking website. However, do not over do it and remember that a lot of graphics will slow down the loading process of your website.

Mistake (4): Overloading your website with Pop-Ups

You may have experienced websites that nerve you with a lot of pop ups when you try to navigate it to direct your attention to a certain point. Never ever do this!

What really worked fine for me is to replace these pop ups with either videos or sound messages. A short video says more than 1000 words and an audio message establishes a nice communication channel with your visitors.

Mistake (5): Non-Realistic sales letter

This is the most serious mistake, which some beginners do. They promise more than what they can deliver. On the way to offer your readers a reasonable affiliate website:

- Mention in a clear manner the benefits of the products you promote.
- List the disadvantages of these products. No product is perfect.
- It is really effective to mention your personal story and experiences with the products you promote.

Taking these 5 mistakes into account, you got a concrete formula of the mistakes that are overlooked by most ClickBank marketing guides.

Do you ever get stuck in a rut, working so hard to achieve success in your internet marketing affiliate program? I did for 2 long years! Discover the embarrassingly simple mistakes that stopped me. Hurry to take the shortcut to the world's easiest method to learn affiliate marketing. Absolutely Free!
