The question people usually ask in regards to green powder, is do I take powder combination with a huge list of ingredients, or do I just take a single compound green powder like Chlorella or Spirulina? It's a good question. With so many different choices out there, it's hard to know which way to go. Sometimes going with a green powder combination like Garden of Life or Miracle Greens is a great way to go. Other times, an algae like Chlorella is a better way to go. It really just depends what you're looking for out of a green powder. There's no arguing that many of the leading green powder combinations have amazing ingredient combinations with grasses, algae, herbs, antioxidants, and more. But many people worry about filler ingredients comprising a large part of each serving. Health food companies have been known to find inventive ways of labeling fillers in their ingredients.
For example, I know of at least one green powder combination that has 2000mg of lecithin per serving. Now lecithin is often seen as a healthy compound, but there's definitely some debate over whether or not a person needs a huge amount like 2000mg per serving in something like a green powder. But the choice is always in the hands of the consumer. The biggest benefit to buying a single compound green powder like an algae or a wheatgrass is that you can be sure that you're not taking any kind of a filler ingredient. Taking a green powder like Chlorella can be a very good choice. Chlorella and other algae are seen as superfoods, containing many of the necessary vitamins, minerals, and other ingredients that are essential to life. So even though they're made up of a single compound, they contain most of what the body needs on a daily basis.
In our modern culture, the Standard American Diet is responsible for a slew of subtle vitamin and mineral deficiencies that contribute to a wide variety of symptoms that people often experience, things like fatigue, brittleness of the bones, weakened immune systems, and more. Vitamin or mineral deficiencies are some of the most misdiagnosed ailments currently in the country. Most of the time, when a person describes generalized symptoms of fatigue, insomnia, skin irritation, or other problems, they're prescribed a drug to help eliminate the symptoms but they never solve the root problem of giving their bodies all the nutrients it needs. That's where it's really nice to take a green powder of some form. Green powders are rife with vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients. They're essential for people who eat the Standard American Diet because a green powder will help to fill in the gaps in nutrition that fast food, snacks, and TV dinners have left out.
So what's the verdict? Should you go combination powder or just single compound? The choice is up to you. For reviews on combination powders, check out this section containing Green Vibrance reviews. For reviews on algae powders, check out Organic Spirulina reviews.
