Superfoods, Which are also called nutrient dense foods, are something that anyone living in our modern world should consider. So what is a superfood anyway ? Just as its name implies, a superfood is a food which is especially nutritious to the human body, usually having most or all of the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients the body requires to survive and to thrive. The reason they have become so vital to society is because primarily, the standard diet is loaded with foods which have proven to be overwhelmingly lacking in nutrition . Snack foods , soda , fast foods, and all the rest have dominated grocery stores and pantries . Beyond that though, foods which were at one time healthy and full of nutrition , have now been showing to lack the nutritional value they once contained . Tests have been performed on many of the fruits and vegetables in grocery stores and have shown that many of the fruits and vegetables found in grocery stores are as much as 50% less nutritious than those same fruits and vegetables grown 50 years ago.
How can that be ? The reason for this is primarily due to corporate farming methods that aim for fast growth and size but nothing more than that. Corporate farms in general only fertilize the soil just enough to cause their fruits and vegetables to spring up quickly and spring up . They don't generally fertilize the ground with the full spectrum of compounds that provide the plants with the full measure of nutrition they could have . It's not profitable for big farms to fully fertilize with the full range of fertilizers , and so it's not usually done, leaving the fruit and vegetables found in the store as only a poor skeleton of what it should be.
This is why superfoods are so necessary to modern living . There are many conditionas and diseases now being linked to deficiencies and poor dieting practices. Conditions such as depression, and even type 2 diabetes is being studied in regards to deficiencies of specific nutrients have largely disappeared from the standard diet . Due to the fact that there are so many foods in the average diet that have been shown to be very poor in nutritional value , it's so important to get foods in the diet that are nutritionally dense and full of the vitamins and minerals the body needs.
So what are some specific superfoods then? Well, due to the fact that the term superfood isn't officially recognized by medical professionals and nutritionists, there isn't a single recognized definition for them or an official superfoods list. But superfoods in general are harvested from algae and plant sources, which is the reason superfoods have also been called green superfood powders. Superfood green powders can be found at pretty much any health food shop and usually contain a range of different ingredients all rich in nutritional value. I myself take a scoop of superfood powder each day , one that has not just the minerals and vitamins my body needs, but also probiotics, herbal extracts , digestive enzymes, and many more rare compounds also . If you're someone who wants to transform your body and find your way back to the path of total health and wellness, then why not begin the transformation from within by providing your body all of the building blocks needed to survive and thrive in the nutritient-void modern society we live in.
Superfood green powder formulas are an awesome way to kick start your healthy living. Some, like Vitaforce, are so rich in nutrients that they actually promote that they function as a multivitamin also .
