In my study of the health and home benefits of hydrogen peroxide, I kept stumbling upon the health and home uses for vinegar as well. A little known fact is that vinegar, either white and apple cider, when sprayed on a surface along with hydrogen peroxide, is as good a disinfectant for killing germs and bacteria as any of the leading chemical sprays. It's both clean and safe, as well as very cheap. But don't mix the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide together. They need to be sprayed separately onto a surface so that they can react when combined.

In my study of the uses for vinegar, I found that vinegar had both amazing medical health benefits, and also home cleaning benefits. That was very interesting, because I had found the exact same thing when studying hydrogen peroxide, that it had both health benefits, as well as home cleaning benefits. I'm starting to suspect a trend. Isn't it pretty incredible that you can buy a cheap chemical like apple cider vinegar, and while you're using it to disinfect your home and clean your windows, you can also drink a tablespoon of it to boost your vitality and make your body healthier. It's amazing.

Here are some specific uses for vinegar along with some other safe chemicals:

1. Disinfectant. Like I mentioned above, vinegar, when sprayed on a surface along with grocery store 3% strength hydrogen peroxide, will disinfect amazingly well. Hydrogen peroxide is a very reactive, though safe acid. When sprayed on a surface, it begins to disinfect and kill harmful bacteria. Vinegar sprayed on a surface either directly before or after hydrogen peroxide is sprayed will augment and enhance the disinfecting abilities and kill everything harmful on the surface. This makes it perfect for the kitchen because neither hydrogen peroxide or vinegar are harmful to humans. In fact, quite the opposite. Both are actually beneficial to humans. Use this spray combination on things like cutting boards, pieces of fruit, tiles, and anything you want cleaned and disinfected.

2. Window Cleaner. A long time ago, I was hired to clean a very large window paned building. Instead of buying expensive window cleaner, I was given a formula for making very effective glass and window cleaner. All I had to do was mix 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of ammonia per gallon of water, and away I went. Ammonia is a bit more unfriendly than vinegar but still not a dangerous chemical. It gives off a very powerful odor that can give you a headache in a hurry, so be careful. It's a very common household chemical though, cheap and easy to buy in bulk.

3. Healthy Drink. Like I mentioned earlier, apple cider vinegar is a very healthy drink. You can drink it straight like I do, but most people prefer to mix a tablespoon of vinegar in with 8 ounces of water and a bit of honey. That makes it easier to swallow. Apple cider vinegar has been used for thousands of years as a health supplement. Its main benefits are increased energy and boosting the health of the skin. It can also be used topically on the skin with equal parts of distilled water to tone the skin.

I hope you got some nice new uses for vinegar. For more interesting household chemcicals, check out another of my articles on homemade hydrogen.
