It's a common site in the business world to see a successful CEO surrounded by a team of smart, hard-working assistants. It's extremely difficult to run a successful law firm alone, and many lawyers depend on the efforts of their office to keep things running smoothly. Your legal marketing systems can be made easier and more fun to establish and manage when you have the properly trained staff to help you.

Legal Marketing and Your Office Staff

When you're starting new legal marketing efforts, you'll find the process much easier when you involve your office staff in the development and delegation of tasks. We tend to put a little of ourselves in developing our legal marketing messages and too much of a single personality can become awkward or stale.

Obtaining input from your office staff on how to reach clients can lead your legal marketing thoughts in new directions you may have never considered. Especially in the world of new media, if you're reluctant to try out Facebook or Twitter, chances are some of your younger office staff are already experts in the social media scene.

The Fun of Legal Marketing

Holding marketing meetings, even short ones, can serve as fun brainstorming sessions that take a bit of the monotony out of a typical day. Another benefit of training your office staff in helping with your legal marketing is that many legal marketing methods can be fun in their own right.

Newsletters and blogs can be a bit more informal with content and you can benefit from tasking an employee who enjoys writing with this method. News pieces on silly lawsuits and court battles, articles on the latest news in the office, and fun features are all great legal marketing and great alternatives to typical legal work.

Having your office staff involved in the promotion of your law firm at community events is probably the best way to improve legal marketing and office morale in one shot. Festivals and parades are great places to advertise your legal services and show the community you're involved in what's going on locally. It's also a great place to have your staff come out for something non-work related and bring their family along, too!

Happy Office Staff Equals Happy Law Firms

One of the hallmarks of great office staff is that everyone is experiencing the same level of job satisfaction as you. As the top dog in your law firm, you're the one who seems to reap all the benefits. While you're enjoying your success and opening up more free time because your legal marketing is doing wonders for your client list, make sure you remember those who help make it happen.

When your office staff is happy, they tend to perform better - it's true for almost all industries. People tend to perform better when they enjoy the work they do and legal marketing can be a great way to engage your office staff in work that's fun and different from their usual tasks.

There's a lot more to learn if you want to build your practice full of happy clients, reasonable hours and a 6-figure salary. Start by requesting a FREE copy of my marketing CD and report. Consider a step toward transforming your law firm into a successful and highly profitable business
