This is because the smoke bombs emit a pepper substance that induces secretion in the tear duct of the turkey. The eyes of the turkey would be swollen after seconds of exposure to the smoke bomb.

The use of flash bombs is also effective. The bombs use large amounts of gun powder which burns in a matter of seconds. This would produce a very bright light that would easily impair the eyes of the turkey. Another essential tip on how to hunt turkey is to load up on supplies. Most importantly, on the list is the hunter's weapon of choice. While generally firearms are allowed in turkey hunting, some states have distinct rules and regulations, so be reminded to do your research and homework.
