What is it exactly? How does it all work? These are good questions, and I hope to provide some good answers for you. In my experience marketing different business opportunities on the internet, I have found that the only real, true, "internet marketers" are those that have the ability to create their own traffic out of thin air. I am not talking about buying advertising from every company that will promise 5,000 visitors to your site for $97.00, but rather creating your own living, and breathing stream of qualified, and quality visitors. With that being said, here are the top three ways to generate traffic, real traffic to any online business or internet business. If you can master even one of these techniques, you could probably, with the right program or business, find some real good success. Then consider yourself one of the few, true internet marketers. The first method is pretty simple. So simple in fact that most people would never think it would be worth the time it takes to put it together. Article marketing is the first method. What you are reading right now. Articles are free to write and there are tons of e-zine (online magazine) websites throughout the world starving for fresh, unique content to offer to their subscribers. Write some articles on topics relevant to what you plan to promote. Next, submit that article to free article submission directories. You can even pay a small fee to some of these directories and they will distribute the content for you. Very, very powerful. The catch of course is what you will see at the end of this article, a "resource box," or link to the web site of your choice. Not only does that send visitors to your site that have read your article, but it also creates a string of one way links to your page that the search engines love to see for popularity reasons. Very highly recommended. A second way to drive traffic to the page of your choice is through free online classified advertising. Many of these ads will stay up for 45 days, and when they are free, do them over and over again for really incredible results. When there were times that I was down and out with no budget left to advertise with, these free ad sites helped to pull me out of weeds in a big way. The third and final method for the more advanced marketer is pay per click advertising. Pay per click or PPC is super effective, however requires a skilled professional to really get the most out of it, without going broke. It is generally free to get set up, and then you only pay as people click on your ads. I have a professional that I pay a small monthly fee to, and he takes the time to learn all the ins and the outs of PPC for me. He knows what will work, and what won't. I understand it well enough at this point in my career, but don't want it to be my full time occupation. I like to let the doctor perform the surgeries if you will. Well, that is it for now. Three ways to drive traffic to a web site that will work. As I mentioned, one of them alone could take you to the top when mastered.
