It seems as though since the moment Apple released their wildly popular iPhone 4, consumers have been waiting for the iPhone5 to come out. Even though Apple released an updated version of the iPhone in October, 2011, known as the iPhone 4S, customers are still waiting for the newer version of the iPhone. Ever since Apple first created the iPhone, millions of consumers have latched on to these phones and continue to wait for the newest versions of the Apple phone. While there is no official release date for the Apple iPhone5 yet, there are many sites and blogs that are dedicated to speculating certain things about the newest type of iPhone.

Apple has released very little information about the iPhone 5, which isn't entirely surprising to consumers because very little information was released about the iPhone 4S before it became available to the public. The iPhone 4S is the highest selling cell phone to date, and many people believe that the iPhone5 will only surpass the 4S in popularity. Although Apple seems to be hush about the release of this phone, just like they were with the popular 4S, some are still speculating about possible dates.

By following Apple's trends with phone and gadget releases, many speculate that the iPhone5 will come out in the fall of 2012, approximately a year after the 4S was released. Typically Apple will put about a year between the release dates of each of the iPhones that they make. However, since the iPhone 4S was so popular, especially with the addition of the iPhone's version of a personal assistant, SIRI, some are speculating if Apple will push the release date back even farther until the 4S begins to dwindle in popularity.

Another reason why some speculate that the iPhone5 may be pushed back farther than a fall 2012 release is because with most phone contracts, owners have to wait two years before they can get a new phone, without having to pay out of pocket. Since so many consumers and loyal Apple customers went out and immediately got the iPhone 4S it can be safe to assume that these individuals would want to wait two years before upgrading their phone again to the iPhone 5. This is only speculation however, Apple has released versions of the iPhone one year apart before and seen solid sales for the new version.

There is a lot of speculation not only about the release of the iPhone 5 but with many of the features that people assume will come with this phone. Some people are expecting full 3D video shooting and play back features with the new Iphone and features like larger screens. However, there is very little that has been confirmed about this phone so there is no way of knowing for sure. No matter what features end up on the iPhone 5 or when it is released, one thing is for certain, this is one phone that consumers will be ready to see no matter when it comes out.
