If you area sexually active individual then it is very important that you are careful about sexually transmitted diseases. Sexually transmitted diseases are more common than ever in the United States and many of them come with very dangerous side effects. If a sexually transmitted disease is not caught and treated then many of them can lead to many more even more serious health complications down the line. This is why it is so important that anyone who is currently in a sexual relationship or has been in one before get tested. It is just as important for those in a relationship to get tested as it is for single individuals to get tested. Also, just because you have not had sexual intercourse, it doesn't mean that you may not have contracteda STD, they can be transmitted through all types of sexually related activities.

Sexually transmitted diseases are very easily spread. Even if you are monogamous with one individual, it doesn't mean that you cannot get a STD. When you have sex with a person you are actually having sex with every person they have had sex with before. This means that you can contract any disease that your partner's previous partners may have had. Also many times these diseases stay dormant for quite some time, so your partner could have a disease and not even realize it because they have shown no signs of disease.

In fact, many people think that the do not have sexually transmitted diseases when they actually do. This is usually because they have not show any signs of the disease. There are some diseases that can stay dormant, and may never give you any signs of trouble, but once they are given to your partner they can cause many issues for the person you are having sex with. Also, sometimes the symptoms are mild in individual cases so you amy not put it together that some of the small symptoms you are experiencing or small issues with your health are actuallya STD.

Many people know that it is important to get tested for STDs not only for their own benefit but for the benefit of their current partner and any partners that they may have in the future. However, a lot of people are embarrassed about going into a local clinic or doctor's office to have this process completed. Luckily, STD testing is now much more discrete, if you go to the right place. Many clinics have at home kits that allow you to submit the necessary samples through the mail and get your test results online. You never have to leave your home or interact with the person doing your testing.

STD testing is easy, affordable and it doesn't have to require embarrassing interactions with medical professionals. There is no real reason to not get tested if you even slightly suspect that you may have an STD. This is the best way to ensure that you and your partners all stay healthy.
