Ever since it first premiered in 2006, the show Dexter has been gaining a lot of attention. The show has a conspiracy like following and every year delivers more and more shocks and thrills to viewers. As of 2012, the show entered its 6th season on air, and continually holds a large viewing audience. This television show is a crime, mystery, thriller that has a very deep and disturbing twist. The show follows a man by the name of Dexter as played by MichaelC. Hall, who self narrates all of his endeavors. Although Dexter can be technically described as the "good guy" of the show he is actually a very bad good guy.

The show follows Dexter's work asa forensic bloodstain pattern analyst for the Miami Police Department. Although his job seems a little gruesome to some, it is actually used as the perfect cover for his hobby as a serial killer. Although the protagonist isn't your typical serial killer, he is a bit of a vigilante that goes after guilty killers and criminals and makes them pay for their crimes.

Dexter began his work asa serial killer at a very young age, after his mother was murdered and he was sent to live with his adopted father Harry Morgan, played by James Remar. Dexter had an affinity for killing his neighbor's pets and after his father finds out, his father tells Dexter that he simply has a need to kill that would only grow as he got older. Instead of trying to cure Dexter of this need, his adopted father helps him channel his need for killing into more positive outlets and teaches him "the Code" that Dexter lives by throughout the course of the show. He teaches Dexter to only kill victims that are murderers themselves and that would murder again if they were given the chance.

Dexter vows to only go after criminals who he can be sure are guilty and although he often works with the police department solving crimes with his day job, he is also a target by the police as well. The show details Dexters double sided life as he not only works as an analyst helping the police catch criminals, but works at night to go after these criminals and bring them to justice. The show uniquely displays Dexter's warped sense of justice and his fascination with killing as he attempts to lead a normal life and develop relationships with those around him.

As Dexter continues to air and only grow in popularity, many people are looking to get into this exciting and very unique show. Fortunately, there are ways for people to start at the beginning of Dexter's story and watch season one of Dexter online to get started with this show. All previously aired seasons can be found online and can be watched so viewers can instantly get up to date with this show so they can watch it live with the millions of other viewers who tune in each week to see Dexter's latest adventures.
