Do you know what the best diet to gain muscle really is? Not many people do, but for any person that is on the path to building muscles, this is definitely something you need to learn about now.

Too many people are under the mistaken impression that eating 3 big meals a day is the best way to do it, but that is not true when trying to gain muscles. The most effective diet for gaining muscles means eating 6 or 7 small meals every single day because this will help to keep your metabolism more stabilized so you lose fat and gain muscles.

To give you an idea of what your diet would look like for one day, below is how you need to begin eating so you can effectively achieve your goal of building your muscles.

Breakfast:

Your first meal of the day needs to include one portion of a lean protein. Foods that would be good for this include four to six scrambled egg whites or low fat dairy foods such as cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese or milk.

Fruit is also a good idea at breakfast and can be eaten with brown rice, oatmeal or cereals that are whole grain.

Snack mid-morning:

Eat a simple and healthy snack like a piece of fresh fruit such as a banana or an apple. Another idea is to eat nuts like pumpkin seeds, walnuts or almonds, but do not eat too many of them.

Lunch:

With this meal you can have a bigger sized meal with healthy foods. Good foods to eat at lunch include cottage cheese, low fat cheese or lean meat like turkey or chicken.

You can supplement it with fresh fruit and a complex carbohydrate like a baked potato, sweet potato or brown rice. Non-starchy vegetables are also a good idea such as tomatoes, cucumbers or salad greens.

Snack mid-afternoon:

At this time of the day you want to have a protein boost, but only about one portion. You can also supplement your snack with vegetables that are non-starchy.

Dinner: This is the meal where you can enjoy eating a larger portion of protein. Any of the suggestions you learned above are a good idea and you can also add vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, salad greens or cauliflower.

Just be sure you do not add butter or dressings that are high in fat. Vinegars are a great choice for salads.

Evening snack: If you are still hungry after dinner, you can add fresh fruit or another vegetable for a snack. Just be sure you are not eating this snack late at night.

This is the best diet to gain muscle and what your day would look like if you begin using this to help you build muscles. You have to be the one to make the change to your diet because until you do you cannot effectively build the muscles you are aiming for.
