In a previous article, "Why Internet Marketers Love the Rain" I happen to mention my Little Blue Pad. I was really surprised how many emails I received asking me what is on that pad.

Before I begin I want to mention that, first of all, I use a little blue pad instead of a PDA or my iPhone to keep track of my daily tasks because by leaving it in my pocket I have a constant reminder of its existence. My PDA and iPhone have become almost an appendage and, for the most part, I forget they are even there.Secondly, it really is much easier to add, change and modify than most PDAs or even the iPhone. So, a little blue pad it is.

So here is what is on my little blue pad...

1. Write One Article per Day and have it distributed by Submit Your Article. That's right, I am now trying, and the operative word is trying, to write one article pretty much daily. Article marketing is a tried and true way to increase traffic to your website or blog. It is not a rapid means but rather a long term technique.

2. Write One Blog Entry In Each Blog - This is also kind of tough as I add blogs almost weekly but if you're going to do something, you might as well do it right. So, I try to keep up the content on my blogs pretty much daily.

3. Write One Forum Entry per Day - Now, I have to admit that I don't get on the Forums as much as I would like but when I do I go right to Warrior Forum and truthfully learn more than I give. I always try to add valuable content but truthfully, there are so many smart people on this forum that I find myself learning all the time.

4. Send Out One Email per Day - Like most internet marketers I use email and email lists to communicate with as many targeted and interested prospects as possible. I currently use six or more opted in lists to achieve this goal. Not all of these can be mailed to daily so I spread it out over the week.

5. I Tweet. Enough said

6. Add new products to my membership website. This is my prime responsibility and I make sure that at least once a week, if not more, I find new and exciting products to add to this site so that my subscribers can find these products and use them to expand their businesses.

7. Once a week, usually on Friday mornings, I attempt to add a video to YouTube on something new and interested relating to Internet Marketing.

OK, that's a pretty ambitious list and it's all on page one. Page two, three and four may be for another article.

Conclusion: It's all about focusing. I don't care if you write your tasks on your hand (as my kids do) or put it in a fancy phone or PDA. What is important is that you set yourself up for success which requires monitoring and measuring the success of your task completion. If you don't set yourself up for success, you are bound to fail
