Most of us have been forever planning to fit fitness into our busy schedules. But we just can't find time to do so. It's not that we're lazy to exercise, or we're not inclined to keeping fit. It's just difficult to incorporate physical activity in the daily hustle and bustle of our busy lives.

But did you know that simple changes in your everyday routine will add up and significantly improve your fitness state? Even things as simple as walking as opposed to taking your car for a short ride will definitely help! Below, you can find some practical tips perfect for the busy person to inject a little fitness into daily activities.

As mentioned earlier, take a 10 minute walk instead of driving your car for a 2 minute ride to your neighborhood's laundry shop. After all, would you really rather prefer braving the traffic, pollution, and fighting for a parking space than to walk and see the sights around you? Especially for short errands and trips where you really don't need to drive your car, try walking instead. Or, if it really can't be helped, at least park your car far away from the actual building you want to get into. This way, you can still exercise by walking even just a few steps. It can still make a difference.

And believe it or not, you could even incorporate fitness while at work! Instead of taking the elevator, use your leg muscles and take the stairs! But if you really have to take the elevator, because your office is higher than the fifth floor, then at least get out 3 to 5 floors below your office. This way, you can still get your daily exercise.

You can also do your exercises at home. Because of technological advancements, people become lazy and rely on certain machines to do household chores. At least do one chore without using a machine to do so. You can try cooking without using the microwave and microwaveable meals. This way, you'll be moving around the kitchen to get the ingredients ready, and you'll be on your feet often to check on how your dish is cooking. This will burn more calories instead of just placing a tray into the microwave and pushing the button.

Also, you can take advantage of TV commercial breaks, and use these breaks to do something else. You can use these breaks to do physical exercises such as walking the stairs five times, or lifting dumbbells.

It really helps to incorporate fitness into our lives. The physical activity will not only do well for our bodies and figure; it will also revitalize our body by providing oxygen to our brain and muscles. This helps a lot to relieve stress and sluggishness. So instead of just sitting down and coming up with excuses such as "Oh, I don't have the time," why don't you get up and use that time to actually do something. Even activities as simple as walking will mean a lot in the long run.
