Are you financial dumps and got a bad name for the same? Do not worry; there are loads of people who get a bad reputation because they defaulted in credit payment. Below given are some of the points that aid in avoiding a bad credit and helps in repairing bad credit. Get the basic rule correct - pay your bills on time, no matter what.
Make a time table; keep an alarm as to when your bills get due. All this would count hugely when you want to take new loans or buy any assets. Your financial trail would follow you no matter what. So keep a clear money trail. Have a rapport with your creditors. As far as possible, maintain a transparent stance.
Assess your debt - income ratio. Take a day out and visit your accountant, or just sit at home and make some calculations as to how much do you really earn in a month, and compare it with the debt you already have or intend to take. Filling for bankruptcy could lead to some serious scar on your goodwill.
So have easy repayment schemes drafted. Maintain a good spending habit. You can always employ a professional to repair bad credit for you, but it's always healthy to have a good financial stance of your own. Get a secure credit card if you must. But avoid usage of multiple credit cards.
The temptation to use the cards would always loom ahead, so avoid getting credit cards. If you need a card make sure you have a co-signer with you. Remember that now your co-signer's credit and goodwill also depends on you. This would be an additional liability for you and would amply stress on why you must pay your bills on time. You can get free credit report once a year, on request.
Make sure to get credit reports from all the 3 credit rating bureaus. Check for any possible error. You can dispute the error by sending a letter of dispute to the credit rating bureaus and remove the erroneous items removed from your credit report. Be pro active and follow how much you are spending.
All in all, make sure that repairing bad credit works out fine for you. There is no sure shot way but make a mental note each day and a draft a workable plan keeping your accountant's advice in mind and it could help effectively repair bad credit.
