When it comes to fat loss programs, there are numerous blogs of supposedly "objective" reviews. But, who do we listen to? How do we know what programs are scams and what is real? Let's sort through and investigate, because we all know - the truth is out there.

Okay - I'll get this out of the way first - there is no magic pill. Seriously. If there were a pill that could magically melt fat away without hurting us, then wouldn't everyone take it and be happy? Wouldn't you see the thousands of before and after pics of the thousands of people that must have taken it and lost all their fat?

The problem with the fat burning or fat loss pills is that they are drugs, and just like any other drug they have side effects. These side effects include depression, nausea and headaches. What's the point of losing weight if you're only going to be depressed and sick?

Another problem with these pills is that according to their instructions, you must eat a healthy, balanced diet. Unfortunately most people are seeking out a pill because they want an easier or possibly quicker route than diet and exercise.

The truth is - if you can follow a good program to lose weight and to achieve fat loss, you will lose as quickly as it is safe. The more obese a person is, the quicker will be the weight loss the first few weeks. This is because a lot of the weight is water weight. When you start eating healthy foods in exchange for processed or junk foods, your body can easily shed this because you aren't consuming all the extra sodium.

Good fat loss programs are abundant on the internet in the form of e-books. Most of these are informative beyond the typical diet and exercise. They will give details of why you should eat a certain way. This type of information helps so you know why you should eat healthy and what happens to your body when you don't. Many people will stop abusing their bodies with junk food as they learn the damage that it does to them.

A good fat loss program will also give you testimonials and, hopefully, before and after pictures. This is the only proof that a program can work. The before and after pictures are inspirational and proof that anyone can lose weight and fat.

Don't just read reviews on blogs about fat loss programs. Go in and read the actual sales page. Get past the "hype" of the sales page, though, and use your judgment to read the actual article within.

Unfortunately people respond better and buy items from sales pages that are hyped. So even good products and programs will use these techniques such as too many bolded words, too much highlighting of words and too much of the "I want to be your friend," lines. I know most people reading this probably agree with me - that these types of sales pages are cheesy and overkill. But the fact in business is that they do work. So just read past it.

Compare programs yourself and use your judgment. Most of these give a lot of information about the product you are about to buy on their sales page. This is excellent to give you an idea of what you are about to purchase. Read through these - yes, on the sales page - and find what resonates with you.

And finally, most good programs have a money back guarantee. If people are happy with a product, or at least the information whether they follow the guide or not, will not return it. Money back guarantees will not accompany a good program or product.

Use this guide to help you choose the right fat loss program. There are many out there, enough to suit every personality. Once you choose one, read through it and commit. Do what you have to do to stick with your program. Mostly plan ahead. Plan and shop for your meals, don't go out to eat for a while, and schedule your exercise times. Be kind and patient with yourself. Gaining weight takes times and losing it will, also.
