How many times have we been told that golf is 90% in the mind and 10% talent? Anyone who plays golf will definitely testify to the truth within this statement. Do you have niggling self-doubt in your game when the pressures on? Is the double-bogey on the last, playing, and re-playing, in your head on what seems to be a never-ending loop? Do you have to perform the thumb click and finger waggle dance, before the grip on the driver can be properly established? In case you hadn't spotted the 'ringers', all of the aforementioned scenarios are problems of the mind, and nothing, in the slightest, to do with talent! Allow me to explain why using subliminal affirmations can simply alter the way your mind thinks? Eradicate the doubting devil sitting on your shoulder and free your mind to give you the game you've always craved for?

From the very moment one arrives kicking and screaming into this world the process of learning, both consciously and subconsciously, begins to permeate the innermost thoughts of the newborn. In a surprisingly short period of time, many of these thoughts become so hard-wired that this young child is no longer able to distinguish between free thought and the conscious and subconscious doctrine harvested from its own family environment.

Now, at this point you are probably thinking what in God's name has this got to do with a stick hitting a ball? What I'm hoping to illustrate is why mind-programming techniques are sometimes needed to re-sculpt the set of building blocks we were awarded at birth. Please read on and all will become clear, I hope?

When a child is born into this world, this small, innocent bundle of life is an empty presence; a book whose pages are yet to be written. The task of writing this immensely important book is given to the very person to whom it refers. Throughout the life of this human being, his or her actions, and also those actions directed against him or her, will style every single one of the pages required to complete this book. Now, with favourable conditions this book will be a wonderful and fascinating read. Unfortunately, with conditions less than perfect, the read will prove to be increasingly more troubled. This chronicle of life will unflinchingly unfold and tell all that as gone before.

The Mix

What elements are required for the conditions to prove favourable for a child? It's a good question? There are enormous problems trying to compile this 'must-have' list of required elements. It's mind-blowing to realise that it's virtually impossible to ever know the absolute answer to the question you are attempting to address! Take time out for a second and realise that most parents are wrestling with this riddle everyday on behalf of their offspring! Let us assume that you have a clear idea of what is required? Are those elements that you consider to be 'right' the very same as those chosen by your fellow human beings? I doubt it? With these inevitable variations how sure are you that your list is superior to that of others? Evidently, the whole process can only ever be riddled with doubt and uncertainty? Thankfully, there does appear to be a microscopic pinprick of light at the end of the tunnel to assist us in our choice? The reality is that although we may all share a slightly different viewpoint on the subject matter, most of us have got the jist of what's required. Put simply, there are a number of common, solid elements that a child needs to regularly experience to give it a 'rounded' perspective on its environment.

A few of these 'building-block' experiences are detailed as follows:

* Parents
* A Working Parent
* Care
* Support
* Love
* Discipline
* Rewards
* Trust
* Parameters
* Security
* Respect
* A Porsche Carrera GT (just kidding!)

Playing God

Depending on whether these various experiences are present or absent will inexorably shape the individuals approach to the whole of their life. To illustrate the complexity of this concept think about your own preferred set of 10 key values and place them in order of importance. Now, mix all of these values together giving each one a percentage mark that you think will, when mixed with the other nine, create that sought after 'rounded' perspective. Once done, congratulate yourself for having done the very best for this child?

Q. Did you get the mix absolutely right, and achieve your goal? A. Only time will tell, but be prepared to find out that you probably didn't?

You see, when putting that mix together I know you have done the job to the best of your ability but it still doesn't necessarily make it 'right'! You may have made fundamental errors with your 'weighting' and given the child too much of one thing and too little of something else. Remember, we are dealing with the complex machine that is the human brain. Every component part of that mix will influence the way this child grows up and interacts with others. To gauge the success of your mix you'll just have to watch, wait and see!

My Past, My Future, My Game

Right, back to golf and my opening paragraph.Do yourself a big, big favour and, for a moment, gently step back into your mind and think carefully about how you could alter the mix that your parents gave you? How would like to improve on your parent's best efforts? It's a fantastic opportunity and one that many people exercise through subliminal affirmations! By listening to powerful audio subliminal affirmations you have the opportunity to re-structure areas of your inner-self that have held you back all of your life. Start to think in a different way...a positive way, maybe? All of those less than positive formative experiences that have shaped how you behave today are also brought to the golf course. Negativity, self-doubt, aggression, impatience, anxiety etc., are all learned behaviours...well, you didn't think you were born with them, did you?

Subliminal affirmations appear in many different guises with an equally varied selection of practitioners. Many of these practitioners may work from 'surgeries' in a street near you, helping people to stop smoking etc,. At the other end of the spectrum some may appear on daytime television to help ordinary members of the public improve their lives in some way. Whatever the circumstance the underlying technique appears to be broadly the same.

Are you suffering from the yips? Do you fear competitive situations? Do you dread sand-traps? These and a gazillion other mind quirks can be corrected. Find the subliminal message package appropriate for your 'problem' and begin to clear your mind of clutter and negative baggage and re-boot yourself with full-on focus and winning thoughts!

    Unlike those horse rugs that are designed for a specific purpose, a lightweight rug can be worn by your horse in a variety of seasons and situations. Because the rug uses lighter materials, wearing a rug like this is less restricting for the horse and so can be worn more often. Ideally, lightweight rugs are suited for use in seasons like spring and autumn, when the weather is more variable and less extreme.
