Native American Christmas ornaments are a great way to bring the holiday spirit into your home while adding beautiful Indian touches. They are beautiful hanging on your Christmas tree, tied to holiday packages as adornments or even on display. You will love these ornaments and will find that they are unique, one of a kind accents for your home. If you want are interested in decorating your home with these American Indian themed decorations this holiday season here are some great ideas.

Often when we think of Christmas ornaments we think of shiny glass balls and traditional Christmas colors like red, white and green. However these aren't the only options for holiday home decor. There are many beautiful American Indian Christmas ornaments available. These ornaments can be used to adorn your holiday tree during the Christmas season or can be used in other ways throughout the year.

Many Indian holiday ornaments are made from leather. You can find painted leather discs that feature Indian symbols and designs. Often you can also find small leather war shields, drums or pouches to hang on your tree as well. Small leather pouches can be filled with Christmastime treats or special toys for your children which will make the tradition of Indian holiday ornaments even more special.

In addition to leather ornaments you will also find miniature Indian items that can be hung on the tree. For example a small bow and arrow would look great nestled in your tree's branches. Other Native American touches can look great in your tree as well. Consider decorating with dream catchers, small handcrafted crosses or masks.

Ornaments don't just have to hang on the Christmas tree. They can have other uses in your holiday home decor. Christmas decorations can make great holiday gifts for friends, neighbors and co-workers. Tie an Indian Christmas ornament to a gift bag stuffed with homemade holiday treats for a great, and affordable, gift. You can also use an ornament stand to showcase a few special pieces.

Some people even use holiday ornaments throughout the year. A small leather drum can be displayed as part of a Native American display all year round. One great thing about these little accents is that they are often tiny versions of authentic Indian goods and look great around the year.

You might also choose to combine traditional holiday ornaments with a few Native American pieces. Traditional glass balls and popcorn strings look great side by side little Southwest drums and tiny bow and arrow sets. Your family will love adding in a new holiday tradition and you will have special ornaments that are definitely different.

Make this Christmas season extra special with the addition of a few new Southwest Indian Holiday Ornaments to your collection. They will bring a festive Indian spirit to your holiday celebrations and will add a special charm to your Christmas tree.
