Thermal till rolls are an alternative to the traditional till roll used in most high street businesses. The main features of these products are:

*The paper is impregnated with a chemical that changes colour when exposed to heat.

*The paper has a shiny and smooth appearance. *Roll lengths are slit to tight tolerances of +/-3% of the stated length.

*The technology of thermal printing allows you to lower your total cost of ownership as there will be no need to purchase ink ribbons or rollers.

*Although they may be a little more expensive per unit than the traditional products they do actually save money for the businesses that use them as there is no need to purchase ink ribbons or rollers.

The products are available in a number of sizes with specifications from 44×80 up to 60×130x50 ATM rolls and all the products will have been rigorously tested for print head reliability to ensure optimum performance. Like multi ply paper rolls they are available in different standards with the quality of paper ranging from budget through to A grade.

A grade paper is the most cost effective to use as the cheaper variety leaves dust and debris in the printer causing blockages and damage to the print head. It is easy to tell the difference between budget single ply paper and the better quality A grade till rolls as the later is shiny and much brighter than the budget paper which often appears to be off white.

A great advantage of using this kind of till roll is that you can do away with rollers and ink ribbons. You will not have any need for them once you decide to invest in point of sale thermal till rolls. If you are not aware, this kind of paper changes when exposed to heat, therefore it is the perfect way to cut down on costs. Thermal till rolls are compatible with most of the cash registers, credit card terminals and point of sale printers that are in use today.

Sourcing thermal till rolls is quite easy. The Internet is a great place to find the products you need for your business with dozens of consumables wholesalers and suppliers throughout the UK all vying for your custom.

With so many suppliers offering similar products at a similar cost it can be difficult to choose the right suppliers. One of the important things to establish is – does the supplier actually stock the product? Many Internet companies don’t hold stock and only order it when an order comes in. This can mean delays in the delivery of the items.

And delivery times is another area that will let you sort out the reputable and efficient businesses from the also rans. The better suppliers offer a free 24 hour delivery service which means the retailer never has to worry about running out of thermal till rolls or any other consumable product.

Pos Consumables are the leading UK supplier of pricing guns, labels, Till Rolls and other consumable products and offer free overnight delivery on all their thousands of products
