How To Connect With a Parent on the Other Side

Sometimes in times of darkness and trouble, we do want to connect with our deceased parents just to make sure we are still somehow in their loving embrace astrally. The cord between parent and child is said to be eternal and one that does transfer across the cosmos.

However, one of the dangers of believing that you can connect with a parent on the other side is that you may be trying to escape for some kind of accountability or it could be that you have not learned how to parent yourself. It is important to examine your motivations before you decide to connect with a parent on the other side. For instance, if it is legal advice you need then contact a lawyer and do not rely on advice from what may or may not be the voice of a long gone parent.

Like all types of readings of this nature, connecting with a parent on the other side is a contentious matter. There are many different ideas about what happens on the other side, but the adopted in the Western World is that our parents are also guardians over our fortunes in life. The belief is that they can be summoned to us in many different ways to give us advice and comfort in this life.

Some of the ways you can connect with your spouse on the other side are:

Lighting a candle before a picture - This is an age-old method of contacting your ancestors. You simply light the candle and meditate on the problem and hope that you will get an answer

Enlisting the help of a Trance Channeler - Some channelers, like Derek Acorah, may even take on the personality of the deceased and in an episode of full possession talk to you from beyond the grave. Others, like John Edwards, use a spirt guide to contact the dead.

Using a sentimental object - Sometimes you can connect to the other worlds by holding an object that was special to your parent - like a pair of glasses. Focus on their face and picture them in your mind. Ask a question in your mind. Concentrate and breathe deeply and see if you can get an answer.

Go to a special place - Some people find that if they go to a place that was loved by your parent you will get an answer.

Mimic their favorite activity - It is said that ghosts are pleased if they see you doing something that they loved to do. For instance, if your dad loved to cook spaghetti, cook the noodles like he would and set up the table as if you were about to dine with him. Then, while eating, imagine that the two of you are having a conversation and see if you get any answers as to what is on your mind.
