Alaskan governor Sarah Palin is one of the most polarizing figures on the American election. Unfortunately, she has invited criticism for most things she has done. Perhaps this is because of some unfortunate planetary influences in her astrological chart currently going on in the sky.
Sarah Palin was born in Sandpoint, Idaho on February 11th, 1964. Palin's astrological chart reveals that she is an influential individual, whether that influence is for better or worse. Her youthful appearance is the result of being a forward thinking Aquarius and her Leo rising gives her a lot of charisma. The television cameras can't seem to take their lenses off her.
Sarah Palin's flakiness in public, which has made her the butt of many jokes on late night television, is also the result of having a lot of planets in Aquarius. Still, despite Palin's perceived shallowness, Aquarians are not usually tyrants. They are usually intelligent deep thinkers that have a vision even if they are not. They can make great leaders.
So why is Sarah Palin, who has so many natural positives to her character insist, being involved some questionable situations?
Well, for one, Palin may be choosing the wrong time to run for major office. Right now, Neptune, which is retrograde, and also about to go forward along with square Mars (in early November 2008) is a very troubled planetary position that is causing a lot of disturbance in general. Sarah has Neptune square her natal sun, which causes big trouble. Normally, Palin would just rise effortlessly to the top, but right now luck is not on her side. When Neptune is afflicted, it means that the person becomes foggy, lost, and unable to connect with others. It actually causes the person to be viewed unfairly, as Neptune is a planet of distortion.
Like all famous people, Sarah Palin has a stellium in her astrological chart and this one just happens to be in that seventh house of her chart. She has both Saturn and Mars in the seventh house, which means that people will always be somewhat hostile in the way people perceive her. Saturn is a planet that symbolizes criticism and Mars is a warrior energy that can even be violent.
At the time of her Vice Presidential nomination, the planet Neptune was actually transiting over her natal Neptune, which would be a once in a lifetime happening since Neptune is such as slow planet. This planetary position simply translates to mean "I can't win no matter what I do." That is also what might happen to Sarah Palin with regards to her candidacy for Vice President. If Neptune were not crossing over the stallion of planets in her seventh house (which is the house of public opinion), she might not be the target of so much derision and be taken seriously in the press.
Even though she is a former beauty queen and seems soft on television, she has a moon in Capricorn, which makes her a fierce yet fair ruler. Unfortunately, this potential may never be fully exploited because the planets are really not on her side. Perhaps the main reason she rose to political prominence in the first place is because she has Jupiter in the ninth house, which, for most of her career, had her in the right place at the right time.
We'll find out on November 4th if the planets are in her favor in her quest with John McCain for the White House.

More political articles: - The Fall Of Madero (Robert Nickel)
In November 1911, after working to incite the Mexican Revolution and oust the corrupt president Porfirio Diaz, the leader of the revolt, Francisco Madero, was made President of Mexico. Unfortunately, despite having done so much to create sudden change, the man was, at heart, a moderate. Thrust into a role that required much more political expertise than he had, he was doomed to fail. - Francisco Madero's Path to Revolution (Robert Nickel)
In 1911, after thirty-five years of dictatorial rule by president Porfirio Diaz, the Mexican people had had enough. Angry, fed up and bitter at the administration's corruption, they were incited to rise up and revolt after that year's election, when popular newcomer Francisco Madero "lost" the presidential race in a stunningly obvious case of electoral fraud. This was the beginning of the Mexican Revolution... - Agustin I: The First Mexican Emperor (Robert Nickel)
The First Emperor of Mexico's regime was the first attempt at a Spain-free governing structure, and it failed fairly quickly. His reign had lasted roughly ten months before collapsing, and while it didn't accomplish a great deal in terms of infrastructure, it marked the true start of the divide between the centrist conservative and the democratic liberal political parties. - The Battle Of Puebla And Cinco De Mayo (Robert Nickel)
Why does the United States celebrate every May 5, or Cinco de Mayo? It's only a regional holiday in Mexico, and is often mistaken to be the commemoration of their Independence Day (which is actually in September). The roots of these festivities go back to the French invasion in 1862, and a decisive initial victory against Napoleon III's forces. - The Incredible Work of Benito Juarez (Robert Nickel)
A great deal of Mexico's liberal reforms in the 19th century - the separation of church and state, the proclamation of all citizens as equal in the eyes of the law and the establishment of a market-driven social system, among other things, would not have been possible without the leadership of Benito Juarez. Once an illiterate shepherd, this Zapotec native rose to become a lawyer and eventually ended up involved in some of the most important... - Gift Giving: The Pet Lover (Claire Dimmit)
If you are being frustrated by trying to find the perfect gift for the animal lover in your life, you should not give up. Here are a few ideas that can spur your imagination enabling you to find the perfect gift. - How Maximilian I Became Emperor Of Mexico (Robert Nickel)
It might not be a commonly known fact, but Mexico was, at two separate points, a monarchy; each reign lasted less than five years and was filled with revolts, infighting, and puppet rulers. The first Mexican Empire took place shortly after the country won its independence from Spain in 1821, but collapsed less than eight months after its establishment. The second attempt was the result of Napoleon III's invasion in 1862... - All About the Reform Wars (Robert Nickel)
In the years following Mexico's War of Independence, a question arose among the newly freed citizens as to how the newly free nation should be governed. Two ideologies emerged: the liberals wished to establish a democratic, secular government with a constitution similar to that of the United States of America...
