There are a number of ways you can go about generating leads and several different kinds of MLM leads. But when it all comes together, there really is only three ways to go about MLM lead generation. The three types of lead generation on the internet are cold leads, luke warm leads, and warm leads. So what do these mean?

Cold leads are the leads that you are probably most familiar with. This kind of MLM lead generation involves you going to a search engine and typing in MLM leads. You will get over a million results for leads that you can purchase, old and new. The newer the leads are the more you can expect to pay. Regardless of how fresh the leads are, you should never pay more than a few cents to the dollar.

The benefit to cold leads is that you can order in a vast amount and quickly have hundreds of thousands of leads. The downside to cold leads is that there is no guarantee in the quality. Therefore, you could potentially spend a great deal of money on brand new leads and yet have little to no success at all.

The next kind of MLM lead generation is luke warm leads. Luke warm leads are typically referred to as fresh or responsive leads on the internet. Similar to fresh cold leads, these are leads that are anywhere from a few hours old to 30 days old. The difference is that you may get a little more information with responsive leads thus giving you a better opportunity to have success.

One of the more successful types of luke warm leads is self generated leads. These are leads that you yourself generate by handing out business cards, having a lead capture page on your web page, or meeting people at a function. What you have to realize is that in order to convert these leads from prospects to customers, it is essential you get back to them as quickly as possible.

Lastly, warm leads consist of anyone you know by name. This may be relatives, neighbors, friends, or co-workers. Warm leads can be a great way for you to have success, but it can also be risky to approach people you know so well and try to sale them something. The key is to look at as you offering your family and friends something that can truly benefit them. If you believe in your business, then you should not be afraid to offer them such a great business proposition.

There is a wide assortment of leads, but they all fall into these three categories. When looking at different MLM lead generation techniques, take into consideration which kinds of leads you are going after. From there, you can determine which method would be best.
