- The college is reasonable regarding leave of absences by service members.
- The college is part of the Yellow Ribbon Program for the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill.
- The college is accredited as well as a member of military education organizations, such as the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium or the Council of College and Military Educators (CCME).
- The college has trained advisors that are knowledgeable about the ins and outs of military education benefits, including the difference between the Montgomery G.I. Bill and the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and using tuition assistance.
- The college gives discounts or scholarships to military members.

An online military college will have most if not all of these benefits for its military students.

What to look for in an online intelligence program

Now that you know what to look for in an online military college, you need to narrow down your online intelligence program options. There are certain topics that you want to make sure are integrated into the curriculum, especially if you want to go into military intelligence. The reason for this is that not all intelligence degrees will cover military-specific intelligence instruction.

A good, well rounded education can prove very helpful for a career in military intelligence. While many universities offer courses in intelligence through an online intelligence program, only the organization that you eventually work for can properly instruct you on how to do the job. However, some skills you should learn in an online intelligence program include being able to present the information that you have collected within a military context and to a military audience. Providing relevant and timely intelligence in a well-organized manner will not only lead to a successful intelligence career, but will also save lives in the field.
