Most fruit that you can find will provide you with benefits such as vitamins and antioxidants. However, there are a variety of that contain so much of these important ingredients that they have been given the name "Super Fruits". Some of these super fruits arewell known to most people, but some are more exotic and have been lesser known to most people until very recently. Super fruits contain many more nutrients than other, and mayprovide a big difference in the wayl your metabolism performs. These fruits could also play an important in eliminating Poisons from your body too.

One of the things that distinguish super fruits is that they contain a huge amount of antioxidants. We require antioxidants for dealing with damaging free radicals. Free radicals are cells which are damaged by the normal way our bodies function. When our bodies work, oxidation occurs leaving atoms in an unstable condition by the loss of an electron from their outer ring. These atoms then try to compensate for this loss, they will actually accquire electrons from other atoms. These atoms will then steal…. and so on. This results in damaged cells, and unable to carry out their normal processes, leaving people more susceptible to illness and diseases such as types of cancer and diabetes.

It is in this area that super fruits are so vital - the bioflavonoid antioxidants contained in them stabilize the damaged atoms by giving them electrons, which stops thedamage to the cells. Fruits such as acai berry, blueberry, grapes, and cranberries are all known as super fruits because of the high levels of antioxidants in them.

Antioxidants from super fruits are also felt to be vital in cleansing the body of accumulated toxins. Our way of life - eating habits, smoking, and drinking - can cause toxins to be deposited that our bodies are not ableto remove. These poisons have been linked not only to disease, but also to fatigue and a general feeling of malaise. The fact that super fruits could help to fight toxins could make a massive difference to your health.

Our skin is one of the first organs to show the ravages of time and exposure. Many people look old prematurely only for the reason that their skin has been damaged. The modern diet often lacks that the vitamins necessary for healthy skin. Diets of processed foods are sometimes deficient in Vitamins C and A. Vitamin C is needed for antioxidant protection, while Vitamin A aids skin cells to repair any damage that has been done. Super fruits like acai berry contain higher amounts of these vitamins than ordinary fruits. In fact, acai berry contains far more Vitamin C than does orange juice, and also has a significant amount of Vitamin E, which is also needed for skin health. Acai berry also has a very high antioxidant rating. Another lesser known berry the maqui berry provides the same benefits butis considered to have the highest antioxidant rating of all super fruits. When considering how to make your diet as healthy as possible do be sure to add a variety of super fruits to provide you with as many healthy benefits as possible. You are sure to soon notice an increase in your energy levels.
