I can't get over the number of people who whine and complain about their situation... bickering about how bad their life is, how their life sucks, how they "deserve" something better.
There are so many people out there who, in my humble opinion, "talk too much" about doing something special with their lives, yet they "never take action" to change their situation.
If you want to do something special in your life, YOU need to do something about it. Nobody is going to wave a wand and sprinkle magic pixie dust over you, making you become all of a sudden invincible... nobody.
Change is not hard to accomplish, but it really must be initiated by you. You must "want" change as it simply won't happen by telling yourself that you "need" it... you have to "want change" and change will come to you.
The first thing you need to realize in order to invoke change is that you created the life you are in right now, nobody else. You made the choices in your life up to this point, and you need to make the choices to continue on your life's path to your own destiny.
You are the only one to blame for your current life situations, nobody else. Now that you have had a small taste of reality, you can give your head a shake and understand that it's time to do something about your situation.
There is no point sitting around making any more excuses, no point blaming others and there is no point playing the crying game anymore.
It's time to take action in your life. It's time to "do something special" with your life.
When I say do something I actually mean "do something". Don't put it off. Procrastination is a real bugger my friend. It sits there right beside you, lingering in your sub-conscious, telling you that tomorrow will be a better day to start.
Guess what?? Tomorrow never comes!! Think about that for a moment.
Tomorrow is just another day for you to say you will start tomorrow, so "tomorrow" never comes. Do something special with your life and "start today".
Whatever the excuse, procrastination can only result in unformed ideas, unfinished projects, loss of potential business and eventually depression.
Fortunately, there are ways in which you can learn not to delay important tasks. I'll talk about these in an upcoming article so you can harness the power within yourself.
Right now, I want you to "make a list" of tasks you want to accomplish. Put the top six-things you wish to do on that list. That's it, just six.
Take a few minutes and draw up your "super-six" to-do list. When you see that list, you will know what you must achieve in the given day and are able to prioritize tasks and allocate the adequate time required to complete the tasks.
At the end of the next day, add six-more tasks to your list. (note: if you only completed 4 of the original 6, then carry over the remaining 2 giving you a new list of 8).
Get into the habit of listing six new to-do's each day, and completing them. This is how you will make yourself accountable and how you will get things done!
Being accountable to yourself is the only way you will truly break free in your life. It is easy and fun when you follow the steps I just shared.
Remember, take action today not tomorrow.
