Don't let injury or decay stand in the way of your child's beautiful smile. Let restorative dentistry renew your child's self confidence and help prevent bigger, more painful, and costly repairs in the future.
Fillings
When the decay is removed from a tooth, it is replaced with "filling" material. Fillings play an important role in maintaining your child's health. Unfilled cavities never go away and get bigger with time. There are two options for filling your child's cavities at Pediatric Dental Specialists; Amalgam (silver) filings or Tooth-Colored fillings. With tooth-colored fillings, your child can now benefit from having fillings to flawlessly match their existing teeth, giving them a brilliant, whiter smile!
Tooth Extraction
Keeping your child's teeth is the best and preferred solution. In the instance that a tooth has too much damage to be repaired, it may be recommended to extract the tooth. Postponing or forgoing a recommended tooth extraction may lead to complications, pain, and additional costs. To ensure your child is comfortable throughout their extraction, there are many methods of anesthesia and sedation. Feel confident that your child will be comfortable and relaxed as their extraction is done, in office, by a dental team they are familiar with.

Crown
Actual PatientA crown may be needed if your child's tooth is destroyed to a degree that there is little of the tooth remaining or if your child is at high risk for future tooth decay. This type of damage can be caused by decay, trauma, or poor development. Crowns, also known as caps, slide over teeth to hide misshaping, misalignment, cracks, discoloration, or other imperfections. Crowns will help your child to chew food properly, allow normal speech development, and assist with guiding other teeth into position.
Partial Dentures
A partial denture is sometimes needed if a child's teeth need to be pulled due to an injury or tooth decay. A partial denture is created to replace those teeth and prevent the existing teeth from moving. The denture is removable and designed to fit comfortably and blend in with any remaining teeth. This type of denture is made from a synthetic material that is supported with a lightweight metal. It mimics their gum tissue and teeth to create a natural looking smile while still remaining functional. Help your child's self esteem and give them the natural, beautiful smile they deserve.
