Your website is your storefront on the Internet. How your website looks is like curb appeal in real estate. Whether your website is for informational purposes, selling products, promoting affiliate programs, reviewing products, or anything for that matter it just has to look good. A website does not have a second chance to make a first impression. Once a visitor lands on your page that's it, they are making their judgment. This is why it is important to have an attractive website that is easy to use and understand. Especially for Internet marketing because if your visitors navigate away before reading your offer then you have no chance at a sale.

There are hundreds of millions, if not billions of websites on the Internet these days. It is important to make your site easy on the eyes. If a visitor finds your site enjoyable to look at they will be more compelled to tell their friends about it. They'll tell their real friends, that is. Not only will they pass the word along but they will return themselves as well.

It is also important to make your website easy to understand. If your visitors have no clue what to do and how to operate on your site they will surf on out of there in a split-second. Why would they waste their time learning how to use your site when they can just move on to the next one so quickly? If you have a simple, easy to comprehend layout, this makes it easier to understand. People do not want to have to read an entire guide on how to navigate your site.

If you can balance the two things, attractiveness, and user friendly, you will have a site that is most pleasurable. It is human nature to want to do things we like again and again. That is probably why there are over six billion of us on the planet. Most people that are on the Internet want to enjoy their experience as well. Making your site as nice to look at as possible makes it more enjoyable.

It is also human nature to judge things by their appearance. From those judgments we will draw our assumptions and form our opinions. When you make an attractive website you really give yourself a better chance of people forming positive opinions. If your site is unattractive people will not respond so well and they will click away.

In conclusion I would say that an attractive website is almost as important to Internet marketing as the traffic you intend to drive there. You can drive the traffic there once, but an attractive site can keep them coming back over and over. The more they return to your site and recommend it to others, the more money you can possibly make!
