In the winter months there are few things that tantalise us more than a few months in the sun where we can relax and enjoy the warmth brought on by the rays from the big ball of fire in the sky. Here are a few ways to relax.

In a Hammock

Let's be honest - the idea of relaxing in a hammock right now must appeal greatly to many people. The important thing with a hammock - assuming you are constructing it yourself - is to find two points that are far enough apart to hang it from. People usually use trees to do this, however, so long as you can tie a rope to it and it's sturdy enough it doesn't really matter exactly what it is you use for support.

Of course, even before you get to that point you need to find a hammock that is going to hold your weight. As an idea, a sheet might well do the trick, however, this can often be problematic and if you can afford to do so then buying a hammock is an excellent idea.

By The Pool

Relaxing by a pool is all that keeps motivated to work in the colder months, and we certainly know this is the case when we finally get to lie there. Of course, one of the main attractions is that as soon as we start to get too hot we can simply jump into the cool water, swim a few lengths or play for a while before getting back out, reapplying our sun tan lotion and getting back to soaking up the sun's rays.

On A Boat

The sound and sway of a boat is something that we find particularly melodic and it is the peacefulness that means that sunbathing on a boat is particularly pleasurable as we drift off. Be careful about falling asleep in the sun, however, as if you do it for too long then you can easily get burned - and that can be very painful!

In The Garden

Got some outdoor space? Then use if for what you bought it and take out a blanket or deck chair and in the warm summer months make sure that you get a nice brown tan. Weekends can be incredibly comfortable as you relax in the back garden - certainly something you should do if you get the chance.

So you see, there is plenty for one to look forward to during the winter: how will you sunbathe when the warmer weather comes around?
