Husband Won't Talk To You? Your Language May Be Making Him Defensive

Do you currently find yourself in a position where your husband won't talk to you? If constant fighting has alienated him and caused him to set up a defensive wall, then you'll need to take a new approach to communicating with him. First, if you want to get your husband to talk to you, then you need to start thinking like a man. You do this by understanding men.

Strong words like always and never alienate him because they discount the times he does help out which makes him feel like he can't win. Feeling like it's just a losing battle, he shuts down and isn't open to communication.

Next, if your husband won't talk to you, try a complete 180 on him for a few weeks. Rather than complaining about the things you're not happy with, try complimenting him or showing him appreciation when he does something right. It can be as simple as him bringing in a glass from the living room and putting it in the dishwasher.

Men are a lot like puppies. Just as a puppy reacts better to being rewarded for good behavior than it does to being scolded for bad behavior, your husband will respond better to you in the same way. When you reward your husband when he does something right, you can actually train him to want to make you happy.
