Inline water filters are different from normal ones, they are also used in different household products. They are the same when it comes to their function. These devices provide liquid purification just like any other filter kind available, but they are more effective and are used to purify everything from drainage water to drinking water. These are also used in industries for recycling liquids for reuse in various components.

Inline Filter Standards:

Though the industry standard for inline water filters is 9&3/4 inch long, there are not many out there that conform to the length. This is how companies try to cheat their buyers, they shorten or lengthen the products and replace other parts to save manufacturing costs. This forces buyers to often look for replacement parts after some time. Though the price of the filter many be cheap at a first glance, this could turn out to be more costly in the long run with continuous replacements.

Saddle Valves:

There are many companies that replace certain parts that are responsible for storing the dirty water, like the saddle valves that are supposed to be certified, with lower standard valves which could threaten the health of users if the device stops working without any warnings. Buying a product with a lower quality valve can void the insurance on your house if you live in a flood prone area. It is a good idea to check up on the parts used, online.

Micron Ratings And Standards:

The micron rating of the cartridges in the filter should also be checked before making a purchase. The highest micron rating products are few in number, so it is crucial to zero in on the right one. Even the most expensive pure water filters can miss out on this most important part of the filter. There are a number of websites that sell these filters, so it is easy to compare the products for the parts they have.

There are a number of standards that manufacturers follow while building the filters. The Australian 4348 standard is the best one among them, so look out for products which conform to these standards. These products may demand a premium as they are often imported by third parties before going on sale but they are a safer bet.

Beware Of Advertising Hype:

Do not be fooled by advertisements and guarantees that companies make on their products. These promises are often half fulfilled and companies would often use jargons that people don't understand, to confuse them into buying their products. They also hide other aspects and promote the positive parts of the products. Never be tempted to make a purchase before finding out the exact specifications of the product, or you will regret it later.

A demo is the best way to find out if the product you are looking at is the right one for you. You may often come across demos while shopping. Be sure to try out the product at these demos so that you can decide whether the product is worth buying or not. Also make sure that all your doubts are answered, and don't let yourself be manipulated by the sales man.

Get Advice:

Since the inline water filters cost more than other types of filters, and have different functioning methods, it is better to check up on reviews from buyers at the more reputed websites. You can even ask your friends or acquaintances. It is always best to buy a product that requires the least maintenance and has low maintenance and replacement costs. Always remember that the best things are not always the most expensive ones.
