While you're a devoted husband, and maybe even a proud father -- you have a feeling that your wife isn't taking your marital vows quite as seriously as you are. Maybe you can't quite put your finger on it, but you know that your wife is just different -- the way she acts, the changes in how she dresses, her mood -- something has changed, and you don't think it's for the better.

Before you take action, though, it's highly recommended that you get the proof you need to show that your wife is, in fact, cheating on you. Here are three simple methods that you can use to catch a cheating spouse:

Take an unannounced day off work and follow her - If you have a job that allows you freedom, maybe you will not even have to take a day off, but nonetheless -- take a day, and follow her while she's out and about. To avoid detection, maybe you could borrow a non-mutual friend's vehicle, or you could rent a vehicle for the afternoon. You'll want to try and plan things so that your day off coincides with a day when she's likely to venture out, but chances are, if she is cheating -- she's probably on-the-go when you're not around, anyway.

Monitor her online activity - While many people think that the internet is a "problem" for men with wayward hearts, it is just as problematic for women who have the same wandering tendencies. If your wife is cheating on you, there's a good chance that the internet played an initial role in it, at least -- in many cases, online "chatting", and other communication, is the extent of a wife's extramarital acts. However, using internet-monitoring software is a good way to catch a cheating spouse.

Hire an online investigator - Online investigators have largely replaced the sneaking-around-the-bushes-type of investigators, which were popular in the pre-internet years. Because of the exceedingly high probability that if your wife is cheating on you, she's using, or at least has used, the internet to do so -- an online investigation service will be able to help you catch your cheating spouse. These services can show you which websites she's been visiting, any online profiles that she may have set up, and they may actually be able to catch her "in the act", so that you have the definitive proof you need to confront her about her infidelity.

While your gut may tell you that your wife is cheating on you, it's a good idea to wait on confronting her until you have some solid proof in hand of her infidelity. False accusations about cheating can be just as damaging, and hurtful, as the act of cheating itself. While the feelings that you're enduring are not pleasant, to say the least -- neither is the thought of ripping apart your marriage over a misunderstanding, or one of life's mood changes. It may be difficult, but the best advice here is this -- catch your cheating spouse first, and then confront her -- not the other way around.
