MLM Scams! No doubt, you might have heard about them a lot of times. It cannot be denied that legitimate MLM programs have helped millions of people around the globe to have a stable source of income. But despite the fact that networking businesses provide great income opportunity for many people, many have been victimized by scams and fake networking marketing programs.

Today, scammers use the internet to take advantage of even more people. MLM scammers are masters in the art of deception that they can easily lure a person to join a fake networking business, especially those who are not aware of these schemes. How can you protect yourself from being victimized by MLM scams? How can you find a legitimate networking marketing business?

Here is a guide to know if a Multi-Level Marketing opportunity is a sure-thing or just a scam:

Don't fall for the Get-Rich Scheme. If a network marketing program promises you to earn thousands, or even millions in just days or weeks, back off. These are the exact promises that scammers use to attract their victims.

You don't have to do any selling. This should be a clear warning for you that the business is a scam. If you will not be required to sell anything, how will you be able to earn? Any legitimate business involves selling, and if there are no products to sell, how will the business flourish? Many MLM scams depend entirely on recruiting new members without any real products to sell. Commissions are obtained from new members who are also required to pay a fee. Be wary about business opportunities that do not involve any real work.

You are forced into signing up right away. MLM scammers want to victimize as many people as they can before their scheme gets busted. A real network marketing business is not in a rush to get new members in just a short time. Thus, be particularly cautious about networking programs that tells you that now is the only opportunity to join.

The MLM structure is not explained clearly. Before joining any network marketing business, you should completely understand how the system works. Ask all the questions you can ask to its representatives. You should be given precise and clear answers. If some explanations are vague, you should not join the business at all.

Watch out for MLM programs that require membership fees or investment. Many people have invested large amounts of money in fake MLM schemes in the hope that they can double their money without doing any work. A real Multi-Level Marketing program should not be asking unreasonable fees from their members.

Be careful about "unbelievable" claims. Many Multi-Level Marketing products are advertised claiming to be the ultimate solution to a particular problem, especially when it comes to health issues. Do not believe these propagandas without doing extensive research on the quality of the products. Make sure that the products are registered and have been proven by government associations on that particular field.
