I admit I am no genius.

Not in the Picasso-kind of genius where I show no mercy in sacrificing everyone close to me for the sake of my art or passion; to which my glory is largely dependent on.

No. Far from it.

Oftentimes, I just see myself as an average man - a man with a purpose, a vision, a mission, and a tale to tell, but, still, nothing extraordinary.

But, genius or no genius, honour was still bestowed upon me as if I were one!

An Enlightening Experience!

I recently received honour from Enlightened Networker's Ilka Flood, an esteemed colleague in the online MLM industry, for deeming me worthy enough to earn a nomination in the Blog Mastery Award! She actually branded my website, Empowered Online Entrepreneurs, as part of her top ten list of blogs that provide valuable content! More than the nomination, I am actually wholeheartedly touched by the significant honour to be touted as one of the best from someone whom I truly respect, admire, and likewise support in the bid for the same award!

Ilka Flood has been one of the most influential female figures in my field of work and I am so happy that we are in a mutual admiration society of online MLM networkers. In this society or community of like-minded individuals, we are helping out one another through a constant stream of support, providing encouraging words to one another and learning from each other.

Can you just imagine how exhilarating the feeling is to be admired by someone you likewise hold in high esteem? Cloud nine!

Paying It Forward

Remember the movie, "Pay It Forward?" starring Haley Joel Osment which tells the story of a young boy who devised a charitable pyramid scheme based on good deeds rather than profit? The scheme of kindness is that: if someone did you good or showed you acts of kindness, you should reward the giver of this kindness not by money but by passing on the kindness to others that you will meet. In essence, you pay kindness forward. Makes real good sense and is actually very doable, right? The theory of reciprocity in action!

The Blog Mastery Award Phenomenon

It is with thoughts of kindness and reciprocity that this Blog Mastery Award phenomenon came about.

Prior to Ilka Flood tagging me as one of her nominees for the award, she was likewise nominated by Soren Egstrup. Soren was tagged by Sue Price; Sue by Oliver Tausend; Oliver by Sue. And the woman who started it all?

Belinda Cunningham

Belinda Cunningham had the brilliant idea of nominating ten blogs to receive the Blog Mastery Award. Her criteria? Blogs that have mastered blogging and are really of great value. What she did was that she came up with her list, linked to them, and gave a brief summary of what the blogs are all about. Next, she informed her proud recipients. To return the favor, the recipients will then write a post about his or her Blog Mastery Award, link back to the person who made the nomination, and pays it forward to ten other blogs that they would like to give the award to!

You're It!

The torch of tagging on geniuses in our fields of expertise, so to speak, is now in my hands. It actually stayed on my hands for a long time as it was actually a very difficult task to choose just ten over a number of great blogs that I have been following! But, ultimately, I had to decide.

The Enlightened Networker by Ilka Flood is a frontliner in my list and she actually deserves a space of her own for reasons mentioned above.
